Why is everyone STILL exploiting the attacks of September 11? I was watching FNC, and they were saying it's not fair that baseballers are going to strike so close to 9-11 and it would just make it harder to go back to the old way of life. Hmmm... Isn't America all ready back to the old way? I walk down the street and I see a hick selling "United we Stand". Hmm... if we're united, we'd all ready be attacking Iraq. Next shirt, a picture of an eagle with "We're coming". Well we came, we saw, no Osama. Sure, these things would have been great, IN SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER. Hell I've found DVD's, CD's, and Books, that have little to do with 9/11, but they are being sold as 9/11 memorial products. Maybe it's the fact it's really early in the morning, or the more educated people feel the same way I do.

I think you will have a difficult time ignoring BBS administrators, thanks to the BBS software.

Y'all are pretty cruel. Sorta high up there on your horses too. Especially you BK, couldn't you be a lil gentler, I dunno. But as I lurk through posts day after day, I notice that you're the only admin who likes to insult the poster.

I agree completely on the whole issue. This whole rash of capitalism-based patriotism has sickened me. I love this country sooo much, but almost everything I have seen since sept has been actually anti American in effect, while vocally pro American. Our fore fathers would be embarrassed.

Now, here buy this flag, buy this t-shirt, and buy this comemrative coin. I notice people talking at social engagements about their friend went through this trauma, and the other guy would tell some greater more exsadurated {SP} account of Sept 11 from his or a friends point of view. In the end it is all just bragging, or using someone else’s traumatic experience for your personal attention, because you are telling the story.

    How about the victim’s families??
Now they are somehow owed millions because our leaders have been dicks to the Arabs of the world for long enough to make one of them mad enough to fly some planes into buildings. Shouldn’t our government be sued for instigating?

Is the little girl’s family who just had their child killed by a bear due any money for the terrible acts committed against their family??

What about the families that lost family members to kamikaze attacks in WWII, they were victims of crazy people flying planes into structures (boats) lets give them all almost 2 mill.
Hell and they can sue the Japanese for 400 trillion too

But maybe I am wrong. Maybe I will just go on watching the news station that comes up with the most exsadurated {SP} versions of whatever is news tonight. The least accurate most fascinating, best for ratings news. I will build a larger memorial for 911 in my yard than all my neighbors. I will put larger flags on my car. I will do all of this not just for all of the attention I will gain, but also the small piece of celebrity I can gain from being an ignorant Zealot.

Oh and while we are at it, lets go kill lots of innocent people so we can implement a new leadership that we are able to influence in a country that is NOW our enemy for being a terrorist state. But we must be careful, they have modern weapons they have left over from when they were an allay and we sold it all to them 20 years ago. And trained their troops.

Yes I am a bit bitter, or cynical, but this bit of writing is mostly to make a point.

    PEACE

I never realized you were an administartor. Must be because most adminstrators are respectful people and usually never act like you do.

Would it be ok with you if I wore my "united we Stand" t-shirt from last year? Or is that soooo 2001?

    I wear it every week.

Dude, no offense, but to many people, America will NEVER be back to the old way. Hell, it's hard enough for some people who saw that happen on tv. But to the people who were there, or the people who lost someone that day? NEVER THE SAME AGAIN. I agree that the capitalistic edge is always there, and will always be overdone, but the love of money really has no moralistic bounds for many people.

I still can't get over the fact that there were dumbasses in my apartment complex complaining about all the tv coverage like 2 or 3 days after the event....I guess they were pissed Springer or Jenny Jones wasn't coming on.

Like, you mean most administrators wouldn't point out the repeated spelling errors. I'm learning!

I fool lots of people. The teller at the bank today, she didn't know I was an administrator either. I kept telling her and telling her it was OK to just give me $500 because I was an administrator. But I don't think she believed me.
