I am rooting for the Jazz to finish with the best record in the west, because if my beloved Rockets beat the odds and sneak into that 8th playoff spot, there is no other team I want to CRUSH as much as them. Plus, I think the Rockets could take the Jazz in a short 5 game opening series. The Rockets have a good chance at getting into the playoffs, and nothing would make me happier then having the OLD and DECREPIT Jazz waiting for them. So who is with me?.... GO JAZZ !!!! For now. There's by far no other team I'd want to crush more than the Lakers. However, I'd much rather play the Jazz, cause I think they'd be much easier to upset. Also, don't rule out the possibility of playing a 2 seed or a 3 seed-- the 6, 7, and 8 seeds in the West are all bunched together right about now. Mavs play the Spurs tonight, so I think they will lose tonight. I see the Wolves being the team to fall. Szcerbiak, Peeler, Ellis, and Billups are the X factors on that team, and they haven't been coming through. Those damn Suns are pissing me off. They could have, and should have, gone 0-3 against the Magic, Heat, and Knicks but those bastards went out and won all 3 games. ------------------

The team that I would not want to play the most in the 1st round is San Antonio. There is no way we'd be able to stop the twin towers...I'm not too sure if we'd even win a game in that series, and that is what I would like to see this team do...get to the playoffs and win at least one game. I see the advantages of playing the Jazz in the 1st round, and they are probably the most likely upset for us. This may be a little premature, but this would likely be the matchup- PG: Francis vs Stockton- I think Steve would get the best of him on offense, and do a decent job of slowing down the Jazz offense SG: Mobley vs Starks- A very tight matchup. Starks has a lot of playoff expierience and knows what it takes, but I don't know if he can contain The Cat. SF: Anderson vs Marshall- I think Marshall would win this. He has done a great job for them this season. PF: Taylor vs Malone- We all know who would win this matchup...but I am encouraged about Mo's defense with the way he played vs KG. C: Polynice/Ostertag vs Dream- Dream would be the key to pulling the upset. He would have to remind Utah of the championship years to win the series. Wow. That's unbelievable. Me and my friend were discussing this VERY THING right after the Minnesota game. Personally, I think Da is RIGHT ON. There is no team among the elite (record-wise) in the West that I would rather play, for a variety of reasons. First, I think we have a better chance of beating them in a five game series than we do beating San Antonio, Los Angeles, Sacramento, or Portland, who are in my opinion the five top teams in the West. Secondly, I think we match up better with that team than we do against the others. ESPECIALLY if we can get the production out of Olajuwon and Taylor that we've been getting recently. While Dream may be old, you just KNOW he still has some of that old playoff magic: who better to unleash it on than Utah? But third, the idea of defeating Utah in a playoff series brings tears to my eyes. Think of all the pain and disappointment we've suffered in the past five years against this team. A playoff victory over Utah would solidify the change I envision between these two teams at the end of this season and the entire next season: the rise, once again, of the Houston Rockets who were once among the mightiest; and the fall of the Utah Jazz. I am TOTALLY with Da, despite my hatred for the Jazz. Let the Jazz win; let them claim the top seed; and let them be upset in the first round by our Rockets. ------------------ Jazzkiller

Maybe the Mavs and the Rox could both get really hot. The Mavs steal the 3rd spot and we sneak in with the 6th spot. We match up real well against the Mavs and no one actually has to cheer for the disgusting Jazz! Utah has 31 games left. I'm cheering for a 31 game loosing streek for them.
