I am really worry about Tracy playing 48 minutes!

Tracy is no LeBron James. His back and knee are not strong.

Tracy has proved himself and the Rockets, too. That is good enough and we should be very careful and save some energy for the Playoff.

We have already lost Yao. People say he played too much. We cannot afford losing Tracy or anyone anymore. Even Dikembe. It will be a disaster if we lost Dikembe for the Playoff.

For the coming games, if we can continue win, fine. If we lost some, fine. But no more 48 minutes!

Do you guys agree? Someone, such as Clutch Bear, should talk to Rick Adelman.

48 minutes will not be the norm. Saturday was a big game against a team in front of us in the standings. This weeks games should be blowouts...lots of sitting in the 4th qtrs hopefully

I don't think the [ BOLD ] parameters work on thread titles.

Bottom line, Scola and Bonz.... errrrrrrrrr Bobby Jackson need to step up to take pressure off T-Mac. No one else on our team can get their own shot.

If the Rockets got to 20 points ahead, T-Mac would probably have a chance to sit down. But CP3 was very good, we were basically exchanged baskets to keep our 7-10 pts lead. This week, T-Mac is going to have more rest time.

I don't have a problem with 48mpg with days of rest in between. He is what... 27? He isn't banging like a Yao or Scola, although he is attacking more. But you can't play the game of what ifs. Play to win the game at hand.

Our goal is not only going to playoff, but going deep. So please don't risk! Give him enough time to rest.

I agree completely. Didn't he say that he was exhausted in the Utah series? If he is not 100% in the playoffs, forget it. To be honest, I really dislike Adelman's distribution of minutes. He played Yao way too much and now he plays Tracy too much. It can't end good.

What about Rafer and Head? Even Battier has been creating his own shot recently by taking one or two dribbles and going to the basket.

which would you have rather deal with

option 1) we lose to NO
    option 2) tmac plays 48

tmac played 48 because we needed tmac to play 48 to win the game. dont be deceived the NO game was a tough one for the rockets. we had no answer to chris paul and NO was scoring at will in the paint. NO can score a ton of points in moments this game was not over until <2 mins

this game was not like any of the other ones since yao went out where tmac could score 20 points and the team win. there were points where the offense was stagnant and the only thing that saved us was tmac making plays on his own.

3 point shooting and tmac were the reasons why houston won. this was not an easy games. for most tough teams tmac is going to have to play 48 or close to it for houston to be close... especially if another key player like landry, scola, alston is out for whatever reason

I feel the same way as the OP..

Although I understand and agree with the coaching staff in that in big games, Tracy may be asked to play more minutes as should be expected... And make no mistake, the Hornets game was a big game.

I really hope Landry can stay healthy b/c he has been so critical to our recent success.

Stay healthy Mac, we need ya!

I still think to let Bonzi go is not a good idea. Bonzi did excellent job as Tracy's backup. I haven't see Bobby Jackson can do anything crucial. Besides, they should use Mike James and Snyder to get Bobby, not Bonzi!

No Landry, less deep team, CP playing ridiculous basketball... The only solution was TMac to play 48 minutes. Adelman said he could have rested him the final 30 seconds, but wanted to get give the 48 minute stat to honor TMac.

I totally agree with you. In that game he should have sat when we had a 17 pt lead in the 3rd Qtr.

Anyway, That was an important game for us. I am glad we won. IMO he should be limited to 38 min a game unless we start losing.
