i was all pumped up for this season. i thought we could really be something this year. but then Cato gets injured..i was really looking forward to see what progress he had made this off season. then we lose to the clippers. let me tell you something, i dont care if it was the third game of the season, whenever you lose to the clippers you know you have problems. what are we 1-3, we have only played 4 games. call it premature, but i have lost all hope for the playoffs. i dont feel comfortable with anyone having the ball but francis..and maybe anderson. everyone else is inconsistant. i dont have faith in mo taylor in the clutch, i dont have faith in hakeem in the clutch, walt williams is inconsistant. i used to have faith in mobley, then i watched him in the clipper game. im just not seeing playoff basketball from these rockets. i hope they play better and prove me wrong. but as of now, the question i ask is, whos coming out in next years draft... ------------------ "Man, it's cool. Hakeem has not been effective in the clutch because he has yet to play in the fourth quarter of any game. That is utter lunacy. A wise man once said, "He who laughs last, laughs loudest." He might not have been that wise, he may have just been a leader of some kind, you know, like a nation or something. On second thought, it could have been a comedian, or a competitive laugher, like in a staring contest, only different. I don't even think it's a true statement. Like that idiot who said "You can't have your cake and eat it too." Why can't the first guy laugh louder than the last? Maybe it was Clutch who said it best, "You can't write your posts and delete them too."
Anyone remember that Bullard post I did last season where Bull was quoted as saying how much he was looking forward to playing the clips so we could beat the hell out of them(or something to that effect)? If you recall, I said I thought it was an idiotic, presumptious statement by Bullard considering we weren't that good of a team to where we could assume a win against them. We did win that game and Bull probably had his best game ever against them. I got my smack stuffed back in my face then. Now, however, the loss this season to the lowly Clips should leave Matt feeling embarrassed along with the rest of the Rockets. Bull should never assume that because the team is a poor team that we will win because, with us, apparently nothing is a given any more. We may show to play and we may not...who the hell knows? I don't. I wonder which team shows up tonite against the Lakers???? Hell, the Clips did everything in their power to give us the game and we still lost. Also, anyone ever notice that when we are down by like 3 to 6 points...that we have been playing our best basketball? But, we never seem able to tie or take the lead...just play good catch-up b-ball. Our starting SF is out, our backup C is out, Mo somehow keeps playing with 2 injuries, they're just piling up too early - we just couldn't handle a single other injury and still play competitively. I'm turning my eye to our old Hero. This is the time for the Dream to step up. We NEED you Hakeem, now more than ever. Can you think of a better way to go out? It could only have more style if you got us to the finals... Always look on the bright side... I have watched all four games all 192 painful minutes.....I have to say with regret, I am losing confidence as well. Normally, I wear a Rockets jersey during game day, but I can't seem to muster the faith to do so anymore. The Rockets are by far are my favorite NBA team, I just can shout it out to the world any more. I have no confidence in Mo Taylor or Cuttino right now, I am in favor of benching both, then start Kenny Thomas and bring Dan Langhi off the bench as sixth man. I know I am going to hear alot of crap for say this, but right now I don't care. I am having a hard time seeing any positives. This is not because we are losing, but how we are losing. I can't believe I am a disgruntled Houston Rockets Fan..... ------------------ "...Do you hear 'em? They're everywhere!!! AAAHHH!!!"
