WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Family Research Council President Tony Perkins released the following statement reacting to today's passage of "Hate Crimes" legislation as attached to the Defense Authorization Bill. http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS253526+22-Oct-2009+PRN20091022 Just...wow. A friendly reminder of where similar paranoiac arguments have been made before... http://www.africanaonline.com/emmett_till_the_boy.htm Discuss and debate...I know a few people on this board are so fervently anti-gouvernment that this could be construed as a threat. Others may be homophobic. People have their reasons and (some) may be rational. I just personally can't understand this at all. You can say "extremists" but 28 Republican senators voted against this bill; and more probably would've voted against it had it not been for the war budget provision this bill was attached to.
You know the saying: "can't argue with fools." It's impossible to even discuss things with these people because they just don't get it. The bill is for hate crime violence, not just slinging insults at homosexuals. They're still free to do that if they wish (which, apparently, they really want to be able to do). These people are delusional and so anti-gay that they can't even abide by simple logic.
