After 17 days of 100+ degree heat and 9 straight so far, it's welcomed. Of course, it'll probably be a sauna now since the high is still 95 degrees even with the cold front coming. The next few days it'll be low-to-mid 90's though, so that's a plus. I was going to ride my bike outside earlier yesterday morning but at 10-10:30 the heat index was 96. I'd be dead by noon, so I decided to stay in. lol. I just wish I hadn't watered the lawn.
shows you how crazy this summer is that houstonians are begging for rain. when have you ever heard that before??? so strange.
well, i always want rain, so i hear that every summer. our other coach is really over it...he's looking for anything and everything to get out of the sun everyday. dude sounds depressed.
ugh..hate to hear that. things not going well for him, otherwise??? i'm with you...i love rain everyday. as a kid growing up here, i remember when it rained nearly every afternoon at one point. it seems like last summer, if i remember right, we had a cooler than normal summer because we had so much rain......but these dry days with heat index over 100 for days on end remind me of dallas. no thanks.
yeah, things are going well other than that. it's just the heat is absolutely killing him and making him really hate his job. i was just talking about that the other day. i remember everyday having to get out of the pool for like 20 minutes so the storm could pass. stupid global warming.
Oh come on RM, you are tougher than that and have been through Austin....we are DYING for it here. DD
I was driving down Louetta Road (Tomball area for those unfamiliar) and lo and behold.... sprinkles. Even though it lasted for about 10 seconds... it was quite a sight.
ha....I am outside 10-12 hours a day. Heat, or any weather for that matter is the furthest thing from my mind. I've been living in Houston since I was 6 months old, and learned a long time ago that whining and crying about the heat isn't going to change a dam thing.

It rained over here in Humble this morning. I think for a good 30 minutes or so and pretty hard too. Unless I was dreaming...
WOW! This cold front is awesome! Making it feel like fall outside! We're down to 83.1 degrees!! Summer versus fall A strong cold front will move southward into south-central Texas, the northern Gulf Coast, northern Florida and the coastal Southeast this weekend. While the thunderstorms are pushed to the edges of the region, a relatively pleasant and less humid air mass will take center stage. Heavy downpours will be confined to Texas, Louisiana and Florida. Southernmost Texas will continue to bake, but from Oklahoma to the Southeast Coast temperatures will be as much as 5 to 15 degrees below average.
