IF(big if) we were to somehow acquire Tim Duncan in a sign-and-trade deal, say Cato+Drew+4.5million exception+draft pick for arguments sake, would the team then be strong enough to topple the Lakers in the West? Francis/Duncan vs. Kobe/Shaq would be great to see. Starting line-up of Duncan, Kenny, Walt, Shandon, Steve with Hakeem, Cuttino, Moochie, Pig, Bullard, Rogers providing a strong and pretty deep bench. Hypothetically answering.... This is a worthy topic, but has been visited and revisited several times. We have about as much chance of getting Duncan as we do MJ coming out of retirement to battle evil aliens that steal human basketball players skills.
