    Gonna miss Hunter, but we got what we needed to truly contend for an extended perior in the future. Maybe Hunter also gets the ring he's been seeking with the Phillies; they are stacked now.

    He would have fit in nicely with Bagwell and Biggio in their prime. Too bad he didn't come up with them earlier in his career and remain a lifetime astros.

    Hell yes...Phillies will be my playoff team. Normally I don't root for favorites but Oz and Pence are two of my all-time favorites.

    the great attitude mixed with talent is what most fans say we would be if we were given the talent/opportunity. Impossible not to root for Hunter because of that attitude. Hope he wins in Philly with RoyO!

    And yeah, amazing how much he seemed to be in the Biggio/Bagwell mold in terms of the way he went about things. There aren't a ton of guys like that. If we had a better team/didn't kill the farm so bad, he'd have been another Astro for life. That's the way it goes, though

    Hunter, you're exactly who the fans were looking for post Killer Bs. You were drafted by the Astros and rose up through the organization to become the face of the franchise. You were the star on a bad team. But it was your bad team...your emotion says it all. You'll win a WS with the Phillies but you'll never forget your teammates and fans suffering in Houston under Ed Wade.

    Why do you hate hunter so much. You could say the same thing about Jose' Cruz, but I but you don't do it at an astros game.

    It's like because he was a good player that really irks you or something. I'm sure you could find more outlets for your frustration than to throw stones at hunter pence.

    Actually, Jose Cruz had 7 seasons of 4+ War, one of those being 5+ and 2 being 6+.

    Pence's highest WAR is 3.3.
