Freaking awesome -- it THAT doesn't put a crappy day in perspective, nothing will. Thanks for the link, dude!
"In an area of the sky roughly the size of this dot, Hubble found more than 1500 galaxies-a concentration considered typical of the universe" Does anyone still think that Earth is the only life in universe?
It's this type of stuff that is making me seriously consider changing my major from ChE to astronomy. Amazing!
All I can say is WOW that was great, everyone should check that out! The Deep field photos from the Hubble are my all time favorites simply mind blowing. This is the Hubble telescope's Deep Field photo of a random area of "empty sky."
Yo, that has been my favorite for many years too. I have for ever been wanting a super-sized duratran (back-lit transparency) of Deep Field. The coolest one I found was at spaceimages.com for $750 . Would be rokkin though!
Have you checked out the Andromeda Deep field? It's pretty incredible as well (can't post this one too big) http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap030519.html http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0305/m31halo_hst_big.jpg
Wow!!!!! Those are some amazing pics. I just wish we had some kind of FTL travel to hit the space lanes and go......boldly where no man has gone before.
"....boldly where no one has gone before." Do you want the PC police after you? We can't even begin to imagine the wonders space holds. These pictures are literally a glimpse of real stardom and the future that belongs to our children's children's children's children's children's children's.........
