Huh, Rashard was compared to T-mac?

"As far as I'm concerned, there's no difference between Rashard and Tracy," James said. "One got the scoring title and all that, but I'd take Rashard."

Lewis, however, downplayed the comparisons and was content with the victory, which allowed Seattle to avoid its first three-game losing streak.

"I really don't compare myself with him anymore," Lewis said. "I'm past all of that now."

Say all you want but I don't think Rahard is in the same league as McGrady...they're only similar in height and build, thats it. He doesn't have the athletic ability and shooting touch like T-Mac.

He guarded Tmac pretty tough in the last two poessions though. If Yao were in set some picks, it would've been better. Sigh.

The best part is Jerome James' quote. Man that dude is dumb as dirt.

"As far as I'm concerned, there's no difference between Rashard and Tracy," James said. "One got the scoring title and all that, but I'd take Rashard."

You can tell he think he could score on Yao too.

Tracy seems to have matchup problems with guys like Rashard Lewis and Darius Miles.

But I still would rather have Tracy.

I agree, just like there's no difference between Jerome James and Shaq . . . except Shaq has three rings. Other than that . . .

Man, I love Rashard ever since High School but come on. There is no one stupid enough (except Jerome) to take Lewis over Tmac and that's including the Sonics organization.

come on its not Rashard saying this stuff its JJames whom we all know is a dummy..

I do notice Tmac has a tough time dealing with tall lanky three's but who doesnt.

Tall lanky three's would give anyone trouble but Tmac does lose some of his advantages by matching up against other team's 3's since he loses his height advantage.

    This is definitely true.

BUT, theoretically Rashard has it in him to be up at Tracy level. He's definitely a better shooter, but Tracy seperates himself because he can do everything Rashard can do, and is a great ballhandler and sees the court well. Rashard has never average more than 1.5 assists per game. Tracy hasn't averaged less than 5 in the last 4 years.

You're right... he just doesn't do it. ;)

(Kidding aside, Dirk has made nice strides defensively).

I thought he meant score on tall lanky 3, then Dirk has no trouble at all.

He has problems with lanky 3s who guard him along with all their guards and sometimes with their big men.;)

No one double teams Rashard, and he is not an all-around player like T-Mac, there is really no comparison here, it is just someone who is trying to prop-up his teammate, which is nice and all, but you gotta be smoking something to compare T-Mac or Kobe to a Rashard.

But that is just my objective analysis;)

This is a problem I have... Only because Tmac doesn't matchup well with Lewis, doesn't mean hes the better player. Tmac has problems guarding a guy his size and that can post up, it wears him out but 90% of the time he is going to have the advantige because of his size and quickness.

Why is anyone comparing Dirk to T-Mac? two different positions, and one is a 7-footer while the other is 6-8, there is a big height advantage for Dirk. He is really a SF in a PF body. His height naturally enables him to be almost indefensible, it is difficult to block someone who is a sharpshooter, a 7-footer, AND fades away when he shoots.

T-Mac is really a 2, he might be playing a three now but that I thinnk will give him more problems since he has to play bigger players on average than he is. Kobe is also a 2, and Lebron is a 2, althought Lebron probably can play the 3 better than any of these guys due only to his body size/weight etc.

T-Mac, alas Kobe, are two players who probably influence the game more than any other players in the 2 or 3 position. Rashard Lewis is bigger and stronger, but that does not mean he is a better player. If I remember correctly, Koeb in the playoffs a few years back was getting his ass posted by Steve freakin' Smith and he could not stop it, and Pippen did the same thing to him. You just can't teach size, it is something you have or you don't. If Rashard had a real inside game, he would have been probably a 4, I mean he is about as tall, if not taller, than Juwon Howard.

But anyways, my point is the intangibles, the all-around game, and the ability to take over the game by a T-Mac or a Kobe cannot be compared to Rashard's. Rashard is a very nice role player. He is not a superstar who can carry a team or have a team built around him, so his numbers are irrelevant. Mobley could easily put up 20 points a game if he wants to, but that does not mean you can build a team with, say, two superstars and have Mobley as one of them. His impact on the game (especially come playoff time) is just not the same as a T-Mac or a Kobe or a Garnett or a Duncan.

But I am sure some people might see it differently, but that is just my opinion.
