damn, really nice. lets all pray for a miracle that these chinese medicines help him return at the end of this season.
Damn didn't read this thread when I posted my own version of this. Anyway here is another link for the story. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3277383
this is a no brainer....i'm sure it will have an impact....at worst it's just a placebo but that still counts for something. But I think for this kind of injury, chinese medicine probably can have an impact. Afterall, 5000 years of medicine has to have some validity to it.
What's the worse that can happen? Hopefully the meds will speed up his recovery time. If the medicine works faster than normal North American medication, then maybe a lot more players will look to Chinese medicine.
All I wanna know is what herbs they got for broken bones and tendon injuries. Maybe the knowledge could help us be the healthiest fans in the NBA!
Funny you said that Pop, I just posted a comment about that saying if the meds do work then you might see all athletes using Chinese medicine.
Didn't the announcers during the Denver game say Kenyon Martin was using some kind of chinese medicine and it was pretty much the only thing that worked for his knees?
If you are a TRUE Rockets fan you would've read Hakeem's auto-bio. Inside it he mentioned how none of the western medicine helped his back (and a lot of Houstonians and the Rockets managment were saying that he was faking injuries due to contract disputes). It wasn't until he got a Chinese guy sticking needles in him that he finally got better. There are a lot of eastern medication that works. It's another science all together.
