NASH & HALL AGREE TO TERMS; HOGAN TO FOLLOW; NWO REUNION

by Bob Ryder Updated: 1/11/2002 7:06:03 PM

1Wrestling.com has learned from two sources familiar with negotiations that Kevin Nash and Scott Hall have both completed negotiations with the WWF and have agreed to terms.

Our sources tell us that Nash and Hall are expected to be joined at some point after their initial arrival in the WWF by Hulk Hogan and that the nWo will be reformed.

Nash and Hall are not currently expected to appear on WWF programming until after the Royal Rumble. Our sources say Hogan may join them at Wrestlemania, and possibly sooner.

1Wrestling.com had reported previously that Nash had signed with the WWF. In fact, his representative in the negotiations had signed off on some preliminary documents on his behalf but not a completed contract. Our sources say when word surfaced that there was some resistance on the part of some people involved in the creative process to a Nash return, Nash voiced his concern to Vince McMahon. We're told negotiations continued, and it was decided that Scott Hall would be brought in as well.

Hall, our sources say, will work less days than Nash so he can spend more time with his family.

Our sources say Hogan, Nash, and Hall are all very aware that they will have heat in the lockerroom and that their arrival may not be welcome to some people in the company.

It's interesting to note, that the next PPV after the Royal Rumble is titled No Way Out. It's not a new name for the show, but the initials fit perfectly for a reformed nWo.

Plans currently call for a split of the company at some point, with one faction appearing on RAW and one appearing on Smackdown. The idea, we're told, is for nWo characters to appear on both programs and at all PPV events while the storyline is in progress.

Why does the WWF waste money on press releases? Do you really think that wrestling fans read the paper?

Kevin Nash used play basketball (around Magic Johnson's time), but he injured his knee and went into pro wrestling of all occupations...Yeah, that's a lot less stressful on the knees than basketball is...

Too bad he got injured, though...He probably would have made a hell of an NBA center

I WILL NOT believe anything until I see it. I know in fact that the WWF has signed Nash and would like to see Hall, but Hogan? Thats a little too much. If he can step back in the drivers seat and dont demand to be the champion for as long as he lives, then maybe this could work. But as for the NWO thing, it will work, as long as they do it right. nWo basically kicked ass in WCW but absolutley killed it when they were broken up, then reformed again, then split into 2? If they just have a few members instead of half the federation and maybe this time, instead of all former WWF people in NWO it would be former WCW guys, but thats like half the promotion since they did buy them out.

So the only i think it will work for me, is like how they first did it in WCW, be surprised every week, and me having my mouth open after saying "HOLY ****"

Hogan was on Up Close or some show like that awhile back. He was asked if he thought about returning to the ring (unretiring like Jordan). He said the only way he would return is if he had a shot at McMahon. He praised McMahon for making wrestling what it is today - $$$$$$$$$$
I didn't expect Ric Flair to comeback. I wouldn't be shocked to see Hogan back. I don't think he holds a grudge against McMahon.

    Great stuff.

I was a huge Hall and Nash fan.

They should have HHH and XPac join the nWo, to re-form the clique.

Goldberg isnt going to the WWF because he is making a ton of money to sit at home and because he thinks that the WWF is too raunchy. I think that he is a whiney ass myself. Go do the what the fans want and that is to be in the WWF. HHH will not join any type of alliance because he wants to concentrate on his singles stuff. He said that he had enough of that when he was with DX.

Aren't guys like Goldberg, Sting, and Steiner just waiting out their rediculous Turner contracts before going to the WWF. Man there were a lot better wrestlers/characters in the WCW. What, what, what. Give me a break.

    What?
    :p

WCW sucked. They had horrible "actors" who couldn't speak on the mic worth a crap. Sting, Goldberg, both Steiners... The list goes on.

The only WCW guy worth bringing in is Buff Bagwell.

That's what I heard around the time of the WWF takeover of WCW. As far as I know, this still stands. What I don't get is if the WWF bought WCW from Turner, then why does this matter?

When WCW was at its peak, it completely ruled the world of professional wrestling in every aspect. Obviously, that isn't the case now, but that fact remains.

The only reason why WCW was ever higher than WWF was because they were able to get the big-name re-treads like Hogan, Savage, etc. They also did score a lot of points with the nWo idea.

However, once the original nWo broke up, and then the old farts either retired, got fired, or took hiatuses, that's when WCW went down the drain.

Most of their stars were guys who made their names in WWF.

WCW spent WAY too much time trying to hype up their Lucha Libre losers and their lightweight divisions.

So, on Nitro, you'd have 1 hour and 45 mins of crap. Then the main event would consist of the nWo running into the middle of a match, and they all gang up on the faces.

It was WAY too predictable that any important match would end up with a screwjob. Obviously this doesn't please many fans. Remember how fans would always throw beer and misc. crap into the ring after the nWo messed up a good match?

WWF keeps fans on their toes, and make it hard to miss an episode. You literally never know what will happen.

I'm not a goldberg fan, but Sting would have been HUGE in the WWF. Steiner was perfect for the WWF as well.

On the the subject, I do know how much to put into this rumor, but I'd love to see Hall back in the WWF.
