http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=187564&page=9&pp=20&highlight=Mobile It's been discussed here. I do like that the US G2 has standard Android over Sense,
im actually waiting abit for the influx of new models to slow down. seems like theyre designing new models faster than they can ship them to the buyers, but that desire HD seems like everything i need. wonder if anyone here has any experience reading an ebook on a 4.3" screen. is it big enough or too small? [swoly?]
I have the Barnes and Noble Nook app on my Google Nexus One which has a 3.7" screen. The text is automatically formatted to be as large as possible. No problems in that regard.
hehe youre right. ive actually been waiting since the HTC Desire vs Legend came out. but there has to be a plateau in terms of hardware technology soon. like the desktop processors before n then laptops soon after.
What? When was there a plateau in CPU technology? There's only a plateau if you consider clock frequency everything.
AND that IS problem with Android. EVERYBODY and their mom is making the same phone with minor changes. Fragmentation. Android whored around like a $2 Ho. HTC is putting out an 2-3 Android phone every Month it seems. Nothing special about them...or really unique. Say what you will about the Iphone 4...it has a uniqueness to it.
It's an exclusivity contract that I'm sure Apple is dying to get out of so they can put it on other carriers. I like options. Can never have too many. an Iphone on my carrier would be a nice option to have.
Actually, the G2 aids with stopping the fragmentation. It's basically stock Android (like the Nexus One), thus is upgradeable and is more in-line with Google's vision for Android. If other manufacturers (Motorola, Samsung, etc.) get in step with this methodology, the fragmentation of Android will cease to exist except on older phones. Hopefully future HTC phones will be like this one, too.
