Remember seeing a lot of asians there (which the 2nd article talks about), pretty crazy stuff.... prayers for the family, hope they find people responsible. wonder how the bar will be affected, i definately will think twice before going there
Lot's of Asian people there? Time to find a new club, that one is going to the tank. Do you guys read the comments to chron links? I thought we were r****ded, but man, they are the worse.
the story says nothing about asian folks though. edited by your pappa. some commenter said asian folks. Good enough for me.
Houston Police Department investigators believe Lopez got into an argument with a large group of Asian males inside a night club in the 600 block of Hadley at about 1:15 a.m. in the 2nd article my bad for not posting it before
I was just there the night before last and was suprised to see a pretty big number of asians there. Sucks for that place since they pretty much just opened and usually has a huge line. But freak'n asian people are starting to piss me off (I'm asian btw). Its making it really hard to hit up some clubs now a days, and unfortunately its the same clubs that have the best girls as well.
This is just one of the reasons why I don't even go to clubs anymore. Motha*****ers like that don't know how to act anymore.
that sucks.. we go to howl a lot in baltimore, and there's never anything close to this kinda trouble there.. It can be such a fun place done right.
Craziness. We were at Midtown (Pub Fiction) about two weeks ago and it really seemed that the place was just a breeding ground for trouble. Some roid buster tried to pick a fight with one of our group just because he was trying to move through the crowd. Talked **** for the rest of the night to him until one of my friends got up and talked him down. At which point the roid buster's other friend went up to my friend and started patting him down to make sure he wasnt "carrying anything". wtf. Oh yeah and someone broke a bottle over someone elses head while we were there too. And two of our cars got towed. If you're parking in Midtown and think there's an open spot, make sure the morons that are already parked there didn't overlook what the sign said. We made the mistake of parking behind a line of 4 cars next to El Patio. We come out and every car parked there was gone. Not only do you pay 190 for towing, its another 60 for a citation.
he was my friend Nicolas Alba Lopez was an active officer in the Harris County Sherrifs Department, and an officer in the United States Air Force where he touched many lives. Nick loved his country and those he served with. Nick will be remembered as a decent human being who was intelligent, kind, funny, and loved his family. He was taken from this earth at too young an age. He was just 26 years young. He had a lot of hopes and dreams to fulfill in his life ahead of him. RIP Nick
Nick graduated from Baylor University in 2003 with a degree in Biochemistry, and he served in ROTC. Following graduation he served for the US-Air Force for 2 years. He was back in Houston working and applying to dental school. He was a good guy.
They're not dangerous. (i'm not dangerous) (Sometimes) My take on this, is when something becomes popular, and Asian kids hover near it, it means it has jumped the shark. It's done with. "It's played out."
