Don't you think Mo plays better as back up Forward? And I believe If Howard play as starter, he will give us 15 pts/ 8 rebs per night!!!

in a lot of ways they are kind of interchangable.....but mo is a better scorer and gives us another option on the floor if one of our main guys are not hitting.

It's good to start off with mo and see if he gets hot and let him stay for longer periods of time because he is a shooter really, even though he is a pF.

If he is sucking it up then you have a chance to bring in Howard to see if he can do something in the low post where Howard does most of his work.

Depending on the type of setup JVG is going with he can come with either one...just a matter if he needs a bigger outside shooter or he's looking for someone to go in a post up the defending PF

In my opinion, a lot of their game is the same. Mo can probaly hit the outside shot more often than Howard, but they are getting about the same ammount of playing time aren't they? As long as we keep winning, I am happy with the starters.

Mo should start based on what he has shown this season. I will continue to emphasize how much his rebounding has improved...because everyone has always complained about it, and yet he is getting very little recognition for the great job he is doing down there. Getting position, going after boards, and generally hustling under the basket.

Add to it that Mo is a better post-entry passer (when they front Yao and swing it)...and he has shown this year to be pretty good at running out ahead of the defense once in a while.

Howard is solid, but needs the ball in his hands. When he is passed the ball with an open 18 footer, he hasn't shown the ability to knock it down. But when he's able to dribble/post a bit, he seems to score more often. Sounds good for running with the 2nd unit..and sounds like Taylor last year off the bench

I think Howard should start because even though he can give offense, Mo is totally offensive minded. I just don't want Mo on the court taking shots away from Yao and TMac. Of course Howard has been shooting a lot, and missing a lot I might add, so it really doesn't make much difference. Based on previous years performances I'd start Howard and let Mo come off the bench, but seeing Mo start this year I don't really have anything to complain about just yet.

I'd rather have Howard off the bench to manhandle their 2nd team, the same way I'd rather had Mobley come off the bench the last few years. Our second team scoring is so sporatic until Sura returns (he won't start off being first team due to time off) that we need a workhorse like him down there to hit short range shots, draw fouls, hit free throws, and dish to Boki for open 3s...

I'd start them both, with Mo at the 3. We need all the help we can get on the boards. JJ is super slow. JJ can't shoot. Boki is a spaz. Mo can't be any worse. He could be a lot better.

Who finishes is more important than who starts.

One good game for Howard and he's gone from "BRICK HOUSE" to starter? :)

Why does JVG start Mo, with his ill-fitting game and his overpriced contract, but then play Howard almost as many minutes?

I think he's giving Mo the extra status to facilitate a trade.

MoT is a better player right now. He should play more than Jhow. Jhow had a nice game last night but he's still not as strong as offensive threat and is not as athletic. I'd rather have Jhow come off the bench to play than start. I don't think he'll fair very well against the star power forwards in the league.

Mo Taylor's jump shot creates more space for Yao Ming and discourages double-teams on Yao. To judge how effective each of them is, look at how well Yao scores when they are on the floor.

Mo Taylor's jumper is better than Juwan's.
Plus we pay Mo Taylor more money.
    Plus Juwan is slow.
Plus Mo Taylor played well with Yao last year.

Who cares which one to start? They are almost clone of each other, good offense, terrible defense.

He's not that overpriced. At least we didnt pay a billion dollars for Derick Fisher. He's not Glen Robinson. He's not a drunkard like Vin Baker. He's not Shandon Anderson.
    He's not the Wizards Juwan.

    This year:
    Mo Shooting percentage: .489
    Juwan .404

    Mo Assists per game: 1.4
    Juwan .4

What a terrible assists per game, doesn't he realize he has TMac and Yao on his team?

Maybe Juwan gets .4 assists per game because the officials know he's helping kids read-2-achieve.

It's Simple. Mo Taylor is better than Howard, and that's why he starts. Period.
