do you think they gonna win it all constructed like this? if not arent they better off tanking this season to get ant and kat some help?... according to tanking ideology a top pick would have helped them more towards contention than making playoffs this year you gotta hold a lot of conflicting beliefs in your head if youre pro tank... you also have to give up basketball until ideal conditions for contention are met...which is never
u keep spamming this stupidity thinking you’re making some sort of point Wolves are currently being led by *checks notes Karl Anthony Towns, a #1 overall pick Anthony Edwards, a #1 overall pick D’angelo Russell, a #2 overall pick that they acquired now, they look very promising for the 1st time since prime KG back in the early 2000’s
lol PROMISING IS NOT EQUAL TO WINNING half the teams in the league are promising...and you can be promising and even win without tanking(SEE ROCKETS IN LAST DECADE) they are better off adding CHET TO THIS CORE than making the playoffs THERES NO DENYING THAT( or another elite rookie perhaps Ivey forgive me for not being familiar with latest fad and who is gonna be next goat drafted this year) At least according to pro tank and that is what it makes absurd.... because every year you can make argument FOR EVERY SINGLE TEAM they are MUCH BETTER off tanking... Even prime time warriors would be better off adding ELITE TALENT to their roster pro tank = anti-sport
Considering this is a Minnesota team their chances of winning it all is not good. Outside of women's basketball and college hockey this state has had a pretty poor record of National Chamipionships. Even most people here in Minneapolis expect the T-Wolves to make it to the playoffs then lose in spectacular Vikings' like fashion. At this point it's not about winning it all but about enjoying the ride of a franchise that other than one year in it's whole history has been known for dysfunction and extended failure.
I called it before the season they would be a dark horse playoff team. they have a lot of firepower when healthy and adding a guy like pat bev really helps bring some intensity, fearlessness and a little nasty a young core needs.
The difference in attitude in this team is amazing. When Jimmy Butler was here he criticized the attitude of KAT and ultimately left because he didn’t think they wanted to win. Bev has transformed this team and got to KAT.
You can't be winning without looking like you're promising, first. Unless you're a superteam that was constructed that year ('08 Celtics, '12 Heat, '17 Warriors), you're usually trying to improve in small steps from year to year. The Wolves are not a superteam - instead, they drafted Wiggins, stood pat with KAT, drafted Edwards and traded a former #1 overall pick for a former #2 overall pick. Suggesting that they tank for Chet is what they've been doing ever since they tanked for KAT. They've been bad for a while. Wiggins (#1 overall, 2014) didn't work out and is now with GSW. Kris Dunn (#5, 2016) didn't work out and was traded with Markkanen (#7, 2017) to the Bulls. Okogie (#20, 2018) barely looks like an NBA player but is still with the team. Culver (#6, 2019) wasn't good so he was traded. Pokusevski (#17, 2020) is with OKC. Edwards (#1, 2020) looks like he's going to be a star. So from when they drafted Wiggins until now, two lottery picks didn't work out, one was traded, Okogie looks like a career benchwarmer and Pokusevski is too green to matter. You're fine to think tanking for Chet is going to make the Wolves better. But going forward with a tank means you're losing. And losing while KAT is in in his prime definitely doesn't make Minny seem attractive when that contract is up. And you'd be making a big assumption if you think KAT wants to stick around to wait for Chet to develop. Let's say KAT leaves and now you have a developing Holmgren. You'd basically be repeating the whole cycle again (continuously tanking while your big man enters his prime). It's not particularly feasible.
T-Wolves climbing the power rankings now at #12. Weird seeing them above 20. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...adds-another-milestone-lakers-continue-falter
Dude please STFU. Do we have a KAT? Do we have a Russel? Do we have an Ant for that matter? The reason they have Russell and Edwards is that they lost so much and drafted Edwards and had assets to trade for Russell. Stop showing everybody your ignorance.
https://bringmethenews.com/minnesot...rockets-chase-jazz-for-sixth-seed-in-the-west Timberwolves blast Rockets, chase Jazz for sixth seed in the West Anthony Edwards had a big night to help the Timberwolves climb closer to a playoff berth. The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Houston Rockets 139-132 on Sunday night as they continue to gain ground in the Western Conference playoff race. The Timberwolves made short work of the Rockets, who came into the night with the second-worst record (20-58) in the NBA. Anthony Edwards made sure to eliminate the "trap game" narrative early, leading the Wolves with 31 points on the night. With Karl-Anthony Towns (28 points, 11 rebounds) and D'Angelo Russell (22 points, nine assists) also having big nights, Minnesota scored a season-high 80 points in the first half. Even with the Rockets keeping pace, the Timberwolves blew the game open thanks to their bench. Josh Okogie emerged for 11 points off the bench and Minnesota raced out to an easy victory in Houston. The win was huge for the Timberwolves, who have a new team to chase in the West. With the Denver Nuggets defeating the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, Denver leapfrogged the Utah Jazz for fifth place. After Utah's loss to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, they fell toward the Wolves, who are now just 1.5 games back of the sixth seed and an automatic playoff berth with three games to play. The Timberwolves will look to gain more ground when they host the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.
T-Wolves beat Spurs with Edwards scoring 49. Wolves also just missing the 6th seed so have to play the Clippers at home on Tuesday for the play in game.
