Guys, Let's face it. Yao got screwed by refs and everybody in the league knows that you can get away with whatever you do to this poor guy.
he needs to send a message by fouling out of 5 games in a row in the second quarter...everytime a player grabs him, he needs to brush him off with an elbow like he did to Marc Jackson immediately after. Eventually it will become obvious that he is just fighting back a little and the refs will be mandated to start calling fairly.
According to the NBA rules: Any player that grabs and holds Yao Ming shall only be called for a foul if they use restraining devices such as handcuffs or chains or submission devices such as billy clubs and night sticks, use of such non-uniform devices shall result in a 2 FT penalty.
Those who watch the game, did they call a foul on this play or no? Man, that's just awfull...Lafrenze left arm is wrapped around Yao's forearm while his right hand is pressed behinds Yao's shoulder!
I watched the game and I am 90% certain that no foul was called on the play. Worrell made a comment about it.
So who's responsible in the rockets organization to report this or file a complaint for this kind of stuff?
That's not a foul. If Yao were man enough, he should have broken loose from LaFrentz and Blout and have grabbed that board. This picture is just a further proof that Yao is not useful in this kind of situation. Shaq would not have allowed his arms to be locked like that.
I think that's the play where Ryan Gomes grabs the offensive rebound right after that and goes right back up and scores. The only thing I would like to see different in that situation, other than the refs calling the foul, is for Yao to make an attempt to throw both of the nats off his arms which would make the refs look out for the cheap tactics used by the opponent in those situations, or try putting Ryan Gomes on his back when he tried to score after cheating to get the rebound. This woe is me attitude has to stop, and a fighting spirit will have to be unleashed by Yao. Even if that means getting his ass kicked. Image be damned. The fact is most players really do not want to fight anyways, and if they know Yao Ming will fight if disrespected, they will think again when wanting to play against him in an illegal way.
