Remember Rudy's system of road wins - home losses as being the true indicator of a teams success....since then biases early on in the schedule get washed out. So following that methodology, here's how the NBA stacks up with the team followed by road wins - home losses.... San Antonio (1) 7 Phoenix (3) 6 Detroit (1) 5 Utah (2) 5 Houston (6) 5 Dallas (4) 4 Orlando (2) 3 Denver (7) 3 Chicago (5) 2 Indiana (7) 2 Cleveland (3) 1 Minnesota 1 Toronto 0 Milwaukee 0 Portland 0 LA Lakers (5) 0 NO/Oklahoma City 0 Washington (6) -1 Atlanta -1 Boston (4) -2 Miami (8) -2 Seattle -2 Sacramento -2 Philadelphia -4 Golden State (8) -4 LA Clippers -4 New Jersey -5 New York -5 Memphis -5 Charlotte -7 Houston ranks up there with the elite - Utah, Detroit, and slightly ahead of the Mavs - despite their better record. San Antonio and Phoenix are the elite of the league. The biggest surprise is that this suggests the Lakers are over-rated...
i think phoenix is overrated. they have a crazy win streak, but its got to be the easiest and most misleading win streak of all time. the only good team they played in that streak was us, and we played like crap.
The Lakers simply played many more games at home than the rest of the league. Don't worry, they'll have their share of tough road games later in the season. Kobe went for 45 points while Arenas went for 60 points.
