    WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush said tax rebates will start going out Monday, earlier than previously announced, and should help Americans cope with rising gasoline and food prices, as well as aid a slumping economy.

    damn, dunno how much more you got, but that rebate check will let me pay it off by July, a month earlier i anticipated :)

    should be good for... a couple of tanks of gas. :mad:

    I guess this isn't the thread to get upset in, but mine will just go toward the general fund. Which will pay for: student health insurance for next year, my Maymester course (which I am thinking I may not take - too much $), possible help with getting married/moving if I do those things soon, or probably just the gas and food it takes to live, once I go back to working part-time and trying to keep up the school thing.

    I did my taxes through turbo tax and ended paying a couple of hundred dollars instead of getting rebates. I'm still not sure why, I have a couple of accounts that gained very little interst and really didn't make any real money in the stock market. If by the time you finished and submitted your taxes through turbo tax and still didnt' get a rebate, does that mean that you'll not get the stimulus rebate?
