I am not a Laker fan. Never have and never will. Just curious now that Rudy T is the Lakers coach. Does anyone here feeling like pulling for Rudy or do you feel like me. Lakers must go down. Must go down very hard.

Changes nothing for me. The only difference is I no longer hate their coach.

I have NEVER liked the Lakers, and if Rudy winning means we have to lose, Then I wish Rudy the worst of luck.

But all in all, I love the coach, Hate Kobe, and his stinking teammates! :D

Seeing as how Rudy is single handedly ****ing the whole Los Angeles Laker franchise over in the less than one week , that's my man! Twenty Five years of dominnance are about to get torpedoed by one blazing Rocket. No wonder he came out of retirement. This is great. Think about it.

Talks to Shaq - next day, traded
Talks to Fisher - next day, about to sign with Spurs
Talks to Kobe - Next day Clipper rumors explode

Sweet Mother. Rudy is the man.

I'm wondering if we can send a coach to the Celtics next. Oh. wait, they decided to screw themselves.

    woo hoo!

I live in LA and will always hate a Laker team with Kobe Bryant on it and will probably grow to hate Rudy as well. If Shaq is traded they're not nearly as competitive for the Rocks but Rudy will and is the enemy IMO. I've got mixed feelings about hatin' on Rudy because of association and I don't hate Sam I Am so Laker hate continues regardless. I liked the Lakers when they had Magic, Worthy, Kareem and Coopaloop because they had a different attitude and were not as egocentric and the uptempo style was a lot more fun to watch than Shaq's bullying dunks. The Lakers later in Magic's career became a boring half court team that often saw Magic driving the line every other play trying to draw contact, but he developed a wicked 3 point shot that was fun to watch as he expanded his game. My Laker hate started with the Eddie Jones, Van Exel, Cedric Ceballos era and the newer generation of players that they transitioned to

I'm extremely conflicted. I want very much for Rudy to be successful, which means LA has to be successful. But Kobe is NBA Enemy #1, and I very much want him to fail. But, with the team built around him, there is no way for Rudy to win while Kobe loses. I wish they had kept Shaq and let Kobe walk. Then, I could have liked the team. I have to actually hope Kobe pulls a Boozer and goes to the Clippers, thereby preserving Rudy T. How I wish he would have settled on another team to coach. Even Atlanta would have been better.

Phyllis was about 60% of the reason I didn't like them before. I'll be rooting for them now.

I want to see the following Lakers win because I like them:
    -Lamar Odom
    -Caron Butler
    -Brian Grant
    -Luke Walton
    -Kareem Rush
    -Rudy T.

I want to see the following Lakers lose because they were arrogant pricks back when they were riding Shaq's back to title after title:
    -Kobe Bryant
    -Devon George (sp?)
-The rest of the "towel wavers" as I call them. You know, the losers who just stand on the sidelines waving their towels and cheering for the stars, then when the team wins they're the first ones bragging and making arrogant gestures....

Exactly...I love RudyT and what he's done for Houston, but the Fakers are still the Fakers...

I don't wish RudyT bad luck, but to say they'll be at the finals anytime soon w/o Shaq or Kobe is asking too much...

YES! Devean George pisses me off. Especially when he holds the follow through and does other arrogant gestures after hitting a 3. Luke Walton likes to do that garbage too. Scrubs making such gestures is not only annoying, but pitiful.

Changes nothing for me. I never hated the Lakers when they were winning championships. Their fans are not that bad. Their announcers are solid. And most of their players IMO are good guys. (I'm referring to the players on their champion teams. Not last year's team, which had some pricks on it)

I just think there are other teams to not like rather than the Lakers. There is no reason for a Rockets fan to ever like the Sonics. The fact the Sonics suck right now is a beautiful thing. They played a cheating form of ball when they beat the rockets in past playoffs and I will never forget that.

Jazz were a dirty team at times also. And their fans suck! especially after the "walking like a nigerian song." in 97.

I'll still hate the Lakers in general, but I'll also still like Rudy and Caron Butler like I always have.
