In my opinion, Dallas and Vancouver are going to be 2 teams that we'll have to worry about next year and all the upcoming years too. Everyone is talking about how to matchup with Shaq and the Lakers, and that's fine, but Dallas and Vancouver will also be 2 major players in the playoffs I think. I'm happy about how the Rockets' rebuilding process is going. WE have a really good nucleus, and we have added some depth and versatility to our bench with Collier and Langhi.

With teams like Seattle, San Antonio, and Utah falling out of the main picture it should be easier to get a playoff spot.

Seattle - Baker is depressed; Payton is mad; If Lewis doesnt re-sign, they are really screwed.

San Antonio- Aging team; Of course Duncan is leaving, and how much will they really get in a sign and trade?

Utah - Aging, aging, aging. Maybe they wont be too bad if they traded STockton and Malone as Oeilpere said they might.

But now Dallas and Vancouver have come to take these teams' spots. Both Dallas and Vancouver have solid nucleuses and both did well in the draft.

One of Dallas's main weakness was rebounding. Now, thanks to the draft, they will finally be a good rebounding team with the addition of Harvey, etc. They can build around Nowitzki, Nash, and Finley.

Vancouver should have been a decent team IMO last year. I don't really know what was wrong with them, but the addition of Swift will surely put them over the top. Everybody on their starting lineup is all-star quality except for Big Country.

We couldnt really compare ourselves to teams like Portland, LA, San Antonio, etc. becuz they were mostly veteran teams, and we were young and rebuilding. Now, in Vancouver and Dallas, we have found some teams that are on our level(young, building up). WE might even have to worry about the Clippers later on also.

Are we ahead of them in terms of rebuilding? Will they be better than us.

Now we don't have to worry about tanking because so many teams are going to be better than us.
