I'm sure this has been addressed in multiple threads, but wow, this issue is HUGE. Ron Ron is without a doubt one of the top 20 players in the league today...I'd give rank him top 30 overall players in the entire WORLD, giving us 3 of the top 20 (when healthy and happy). Let us not argue about the other 2 we have. I'm tired of the T-Mac haters, once he has his rhythm, not even Kobe is better. But man, I can't help but think over over how he'll play with Yao and Mac. Not vice versa. I almost want a starting line up of: Yao Scola Hayes Mac Alston Let him be the sixth man of the year, but I don't want him even attempting to take the spot light. And yes, Battier and Artest would get more minutes over Scola and Hayes if I were coach, but I like this starting line up. Match up problems galore. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but position doesn't really make a ton of difference anymore in this leauge. Can we please forget positions and get down to winning? Anyone else agree? Yay for my first thread start!
No way we ever play Hayes at the 3..........Have you seen hus jumper? Battier will start, Ronny will still get his 35-40 mins + 4th Quarters
I was sure you're serious. Until I saw Hayes and Scola in your line up. Seriously. Hayes and Scola together? Alston McGrady Artest Scola Yao That'd be my guess. Or maybe Adelman plays it safe to start the season and brings Ron off the bench with Battier starting.
Adelman is a player's coach. Ron respects Adelman enough to be willing to come off the bench early in the season. I believe Ron will get his chance and make it to starting line up by end of season. There is no rush to have Ron be part of the starting line-up so soon. The line-up of Alston Mcgrady Battier Scola and Yao are still undefeated if I remember. Ron may know Adelman's system already but he will most likely try and blend into the team's chemistry. This team's chemistry won 22 games in a row last season. With Yao out, they weren't even the most talented lineup and yet they were able to win 22 wins straight. I'm sure CHEMISTRY played a big part and will continue to do so. I can't see Ron being a disturbance to this team, their chemistry is already good and intact.
lol...pray tell who these other 10 players are in the WORLD who aren't playing in the NBA. Please stop. Yea, for us. You certainly haven't noticed the difference between a power forward and a small forward.
lol, poor kid, burned. but yao scola battier mcgrady alston to start the season. ron ron will work his way into starting eventually though, depending on how quickly it all gels.
Our chemistry will never be affected unless Yao walked. Yao is an absolute "Fire Fighter" who always stop the quarrels between teammates instead of oiling that.
In the best of possible combinations you would think that Adelman would want his two best defenders on the floor at the same time. So where does he play Artest when Battier comes in at the Pf or Sg position? Which means fewer minutes for either BB, Hayes or Landry or will Adelman relegate Battier to second string status. Adelmans problem is going to be to find enough minutes to make everyone happy, nice problem to have though.
Alston ,TMAC , Battier , Scola, Yao. That's what I think is the regular starting line up in most games. Be that as it may, Ron will be given more time to lead the bench team, just like Ginobili did in Spurs. We can have two systems, both having perfect defense and offense, which greatly reduce weariness even in playoffs
My research indicates Artest is something like 60-80% water. Thus, he can be used to dissolve any number of polar substances.
It doesn't really matter who starts. Both Artest and Battier will play a lot of minutes, maybe not as much as either has been playing in the past, but still a lot. The most important factor, of course, is how Artest gels with the team. The good thing is, if Artest doesn't quite fit in, we still have last year's team pretty much intact which is very good when healthy. With Artest, Adelman will have the flexibility to put out different combinations. Artest and Battier can be interchangeable at SF. I think they are about the same defensively (Battier more disciplined, Artest more physical). Offensively, Artest is better in creating his own shots but not as good as a team offensive player. Battier is very reliable in hitting open shots and won't be a ball stopper, but he can be too passive. I am sure both might see time on the floor together, especially when the other team's PF is killing us. BTW, it's Tru Warier. Get your spell checker fixed.
He'll affect the chemistry that causes us to lose in the first round every year. He'll decrease the bad shots Tmac will take. He'll increase the good shots that he'll take.
Lets just say that Tmac and Yao need some breathing room.. aka need some oxygen.. ron artest is our oxygen. sugar==> CO2 +H2O only when oxgen is added.. [combustion] therefore.. ron artest will light a fire up Tmac and Yaos asses thats how chemistry will be affected
I don't care if QB's Finest starts or comes off the bench. He will still get his touches and minutes. T-Mac and Yao are both unselfish players and are known for getting everyone involved.
