I'm worried he'll be permanently scarred.

Oh just put some panties on him would you since most of you wish to treat him like a little...bit_ _ (er girl)! Damn it, he's a grown man and this is not going to wreck his career. He's a rookie and a 2nd rd draft choice. Who in the world though he was going to get 25 mpg and 15 points per game in the first place. The team is winning and too many fans crying about Novak or Billy's playing time. They will have to earn it and not just because it's their hometown either!

hes a rookie. he understands that he fudged up when he was on the court those earlier games. He'll adjust and play hard in practice.

I want to put that he'll resort to drugs, whores, and alcohol, just because that choice is great! :D

    He'll be fine.

I don't like any of those options. He won't be a great player and he won't demand a trade. I voted "drugs and whores" just for the heck of it.

I think he's not ready right now and I think he will be like Matt Bullard and carve a niche as a shooter. He will not be anything special but he could be a very good role player.

You can't be an elite player with no athleticism or ball handling ability. He can be a star in college but not against the best basketball players in the universe.

That being said, he can kick anybody's azz on this board :)

    i don't know what he's gonna think..
    but here's what i think

I think vspan, novak, and bonzi are all realizing what an idiot JVG is for not letting them play through the mistakes... Not even Tmac would be who he is now if orlando didn't allow him to just play his mistakes away.

it's like a secret club among this team that laughs and jokes about how JVG never plays the young players.

Talents like T-Mac, Kobe, Jordan, Lebron, Carmelo, and a few others are quite different from Spanoulis and Novak. They were brought in to BE the stars of their team. Spanoulis and Novak were not...

Sure, the new guys need playing time. But we're struggling w/ a rough start and JVG can't give people a chance to 'learn the ropes' and make mistakes (although understandable) while we're trying to grind out wins. There's two ugly losses, one blowout in Dallas, grinded out a win against Memphis, and barely gave it away tonight against Milwaukee. Only the Dallas game was suitable to let the new guys run. Novak is a rookie. Lack of playing time goes w/ the territory.

no no but you really don't understand, you see if vspan and novak have played in all the games, the rockets would be 5-0 easily, they make the team really deep, and when they hit forget about the 30 point blowout, it would have been 50. and for the utah game, vspan would have stopped williams and fisher, and novak, well since he is a MUCH better defender than any other junk that was thrown out, boozer would never have gotten off.

Im still trying to figure out, how are you going to learn if you dont play and make mistakes? Anyone have a real answer to that?

Even Phil Jackson realised this and is playing his rooks.
I think this hurt Novak's confidence IMO. Classic JVG trademark.

You forgot to add a fifth option: He'll do his darndest to make sure the team waterbottles never run dry.

Novak is a good kid. He'll work his way to the rotation. Besides, we locked him up for 3 years. :)
