I was looking online and found a variety of programs to download. Anyone have experience with one they like and would recommend? Also, I guess photoshop has the ability to fix it too... is Photoshop the best way to sharpen these images?
how blurry is the photo? photoshop is very powerful and can enhance sharpness. not really "fix" blur.
Enhance it. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Vxq9yj2pVWk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You can't make an extremely blurry photo sharp. Unless you're doing masking and selecting various areas, most programs (even Photoshop) won't know what's near or what's far when the lens focused on a particular subject. It is rare to see one that has everything in focus, but it will depend on how blurry the picture is, like macalu has stated. Here is an old article that explains the methods. Even as an older article, the methods and techniques still work well with the latest versions of software. http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/photoshop/sharpening.htm Can you post the photo?
Many photo editing programs have a 'sharpen' function, but no program can make a sharp photo out of a blurry photo. They may be able to clean it up a little bit, but the original image is what it is.
If you have the original photo in a RAW format, that might be the way to see if you CAN make it sharper. Otherwise, if you're left with the format of the processed image in JPG or whatever the final output is, you might not be able to manipulate what the camera actually captured. Good luck.
Photoshop CC has a neat little plugin that can remove a small amount of motion blur and restore an image, but only motion blur. If your photos are flat out just unfocused, then no amount of image editing will fix that image.
