I want to propose to my girlfriend. I want the proposal to be something out of the ordinary. I need some ideas. Can you guys help me out?
Wanna really suprise her? Set up the entire wedding without her knowledge. Get the invitations sent out, church set up, cake and flowers and all that jazz done... get her family and your family to do all the work... Then bring her to the chapel on the day of the wedding (make up some excuse to go to church), open the doors and say, in front of all the guests, "honey, will you marry me?" That would probably surprise the hell out of her.
The one idea I wished I would of used is to get her a kitten or puppy with a bow around its neck with the ring tied to it. I hid my wife's ring in the guacamole at a Mexican resturaunt for her to find. I'm glad she didn't eat it.
Do the one I saw in a movie. Tie a string around her finger with a little bow and then let the ring slide down the string onto her finger. Now that is smooth. Do something she likes to do. The proposal will be memorable no matter what you do.
I proposed to my wife under the oaks of Oak Alley Plantation. Pick a place that would be romantic. The oak I proposed to her is the third one away from the house on the left.
Go to wherever you had your first date - thats always a classy move. Or you could always do it at halftime of the Rockets game
This is not original, but you might want to try: One of my friends was going to propose to his girlfriend on valentine's day. So he gave her a refrigerator for valentine's gift during a party with all her families and friends. And there's all the people looking at him like "What the hell are you thinking? A refrigerator for V-day's gift?" But he just stands there smiling, and told her girlfriend go ahead unwrap the gift. When his girlfriend finally unwrapped the huge fridge, and opened it. The inside of the fridge were filled with red roses, while everybody in the room goes "Woo", he opened the other side of the refrigerator, and it was filled with chocolates, and there was one small red box laid on the top, and we all knew what that was. Pretty romantic if you ask me
propose to her privately...WITHOUT a ring. that way, nothing or no one can influence her answer except the way she really feels.
