For some reason no lizards come from the front door.. but it seems if anyone opens the back door.. they are just lingering out there and right when the door opens.. usually one makes an effort to get inside.. then i have to kill it.. which i don't like but they piss me off...is there any suggestion on how to prevent these critters???? i've heard of eggshells.. does that work????
Maybe it's your back yard or the surrounding environment of your home? What kind of lizards? they're awesome, why would you kill them?
honestly there is more diversified vegetation in the front yard than the back.. the back is just grass and a few trees... idk what the deal is..
i don't try to kill em on purpose.. they tend to die in the process of me catching em using a dustpan and broom..
Why would you kill them? Lizards eat pigeons. If you want to get rid of the lizards then you have to release dozens of Chinese Needle Snakes into your yard. When your sick of the snakes you can purchase snake eating Gorillas who will simply freeze to death when winter comes.
Yeah I've seen a few lizards around my house but I just leave them alone. They don't bother me and they eat bugs, dead and alive. I'll worry if their are too many but they don't annoy me really. Killing them would just feel wrong..
i don't mind them staying outside the house.. i have no problem.. but it seems everytime i open the back door one is just waiting to get inside and always gets in...
These are anoles, is this what you have? We used to catch them all the time as kids, there were certain neighbors houses where you could always count on them, mostly the ones with ivy and latticework.
Don't they just stay in corners, eat bugs, and generally stay out of your way? Just scoop them up and throw them out or something.
Easy fix. Buy a front door and switch it with you back door. Now you back door is really a front door and thus no more reptiles. Thank me later!
Do you have to open your back door? why not going out through a window, so you dont have to open the door?
