you are right but you forgot they say the name of the channel too, even when everybody knows what channel are you seeing, and the reporter have a logo of the channel on the mic. so is: - name of the reporter - place where he/she is reporting - name of the channel thats how every reporter finish the segment.
As someone who takes the televised news very seriously, I don't find this the least bit funny. I have spent countless hours in my youth watching both local and national news, and these people work thankless hours trying to inform the general public. I guess its also cool to mock pastors and other holy men as well.
