u can smell a noob when u see a Rocket Guy thread....

surprised the link made it in its entirety..

I admit, Ingram has made some good reads, but he's put more crap out there such as getting Jahidi White before Yao was drafted, to saying Francis wanted to draft Jay Williams instead of Yao.....

eh? I don't get it, what's the problem with the author? I enjoyed the read, he spent a majority of the article praising the Rockets, gave good, bite sized summaries, and said we'd be a contender with Yao healthy.

I think they're trying to say he's bias. A Rockets fan.

Hmm a little too fawning for my taste. You read the article and it looks like WE'RE the championship favorites for this season....except in the very last paragraph where he takes all the praise back. This in particular made me chortle:

    1. Yao Ming is the most dominant big man in the league today.
-DH and Gasol, anyone? Also isn't Yao just coming of surgery? Dominant my ass, we don't even know if he'll be able to play a full season.

    2. RA's ability to wizard together makeshift rotations on the fly has been pivotal to Houston's success during his tenure as head coach
-LOL apparently this rocket haven't been watching a lot of rocket games. On-the-fly rotations is probably the weakest part of RA's game.

It wasn't bad, he just decided to focus on the positives more. Take it easy guys.

first of all .. no one is as dominating as yao especially on the offensive end, when yao is playing... ofcourse its a given when he is not playing he is putting the same stats as me and you .. clearly this is an evaluation of if he is playing ..

secondly all RA has been doing for the last two years has been adjusting his lineups on the fly .. with TMAC and yao being hurt then tmac coming back and being gone again to all the injuries and then the midseason trade .. our roster has been more fluid than neone in the league and rick has done a good job of keeping continuity on the field with his players and changed the system on the fly to match his personnel..

for some people the worst thing in the world is focus on the positives .. I think any team with legit fans would have optimism even unrealistic optimism for their team .. but for some reason so many of houston fans try to be objective and realist, in their eyes anyway, to where they lose sight of what it means to be a fan

Not sure if 1/2 the people on this board are actual rockets fans or just come on here to be pessimistic about evertyhing. So much hate for a positive Rockets article, biased or not.

    A very nice read.

Sure he is frowned upon here, for obvious reasons, but this was not a bad write up at all.

Does this guy have an editor? Patterson had 18 games in his debut and the big man coach is working with Yao Ming, Jordan Hill, and Hill. I proof read emails better than this guy does his articles.

I thought about posting this the other day, then it dawned on me that all of this should be common knowledge for everyone on this board. Real talk.

Since when did being objective become a bad thing?
