do you know what athletic means? have you seen how lebron, gerald wallace, dh12 are built. they are freaks of nature, strong as $#!t, can jump high as hell, can do things regular players cant.

olajuwon just had those soccer feat, and his bbiq was high. that's not athleticism.

now tell me, why should tmac be on this list but not kobe, or wade? they were all built with about the same body.

Wow, you call him out but you couldn't be more wrong. The Dream was an athletic player. He played with more finesse and athleticism than strength and power.

 

one thing said thats always struck me about hakeem was that while most centers can jump once to block a shot, hakeem can jump twice. he'll jump once, land n jump again without seemingly having to flex much. i think it was an opposing coach commenting how he got so many blocks over his career.

hakeem has way way Way more steals then any big man in history, only guy close is karl malone. and more blocks then anyone in history. so that means if he was not athletic then he was by far the smartest player ever by a wide margin. because steals and blocks are usually a result of having great speed and other good stuff that would usually make you a nice athlete.

if this is the case i hope obama chooses hakeem as his new VP. id love to see him running things.

 

I've noticed that Jordan Hill seems to have the same ability. He is able to jump several times to recover from any pump fakes used by the offense. While Hill may not be anywhere near the player Hakeem was, he is very athletic.

And so was Hakeem. Anyone who doubts Olajuwon's athleticism needs to go back and watch some old tapes. The dude was a beast.
