Remember when Dallas sucked for over a decade, and then they got good? I was actually a bit of a fan of the Mavericks in the 2000-2001 season, mainly because they beat the Jazz. But now, we know we all hate them. They are Rockets Public Enemy number 1. Especially, all their fans. I see people loving on the Warriors. But that might change. It might change real soon, like next week perhaps.
They had nash and finley back then. It was harder to hate them. Then they got rid of them, and added walker. stackhouse. harris. still have girly dirk. Apart from maybe pyscho steven, the guys on this golden state team are likable. B. Diddy is the ****!
it would take them getting consistently good to really hate them. I wouldn't hate Phoenix if we lost to them 2 years in a row I don't think.. the style of play that doens't involve dirty stuff and flopping and stuff...I don't think builds us into haters
I think most of us hate mavs because of their cocky demeanor. And you have to at least appreciate the energy that GS has.
Yup, this is what i m gonna replied.... and if the rockets win, i can gurantee very soon the whole board will be cusring about S. Jax, Baron Davis etc calling them punk, jerk, flopper, a$$ etc etc etc!
Man. I gurantee it, I can alrady feel the hate for GS. The fans look like they're having fun. I wish Houston could have fun like that. Our fans do kinda suck. I know the rowdies and some of us clutchfans members are trying to change the culture of Toyota Center.
As long as the Warriors play with this kind of passion, I can't hate them. The mavs are $30m over the cap; the Warriors are not. While I'll root for the Spurs or Suns over the Warriors (what? I love Steve Nash and Tim Duncan), I'll root for the Warriors in the Finals. Or who knows, right? How can anyone hate a team of underdogs who plays with so much fire and passion and love for the game? Watching them is like watching a game at Rucker or Fondé. I remember quite fondly the last time I saw a team play like this. They swept the Magic in the Finals.
I'll hate them tomorrow. All the bandwagoners here in California are going to be all about the Warriors. The original rooting interest the Lakers got trounced, and the Clippers wilted out of getting to the playoffs. So obviously they're gonna go with Golden State now. Its gonna be "yaay YAAY Warriors! (um, who's that guy BEEdrins, he any good?) And when the inevitable celebrities show up to the the games, that'll just kill it.
