Now that MoT is back and Braggs is still playing well, I was wondering how everyone would like to see JVG rotate his lineups at the 4-5. What combos do you think work best and how many minutes?

    Start:
    Yao
    Cato

How much time at 5 for Cato?

    What do you think?

    :D

Once he gets his legs back, i think Mo will have to play starters minutes so that we have a viable backup at center.

If Yao and Cato go about 30-35 minutes a game, and Mo goes about 25, that should leave arounf 6-8 minutes or so a game for Braggs.

Since the guards are so terrible, just start Yao, Cato, Taylor, Braggs, and Jackson

Actually that would leave 49 minutes for Braggs.

    48 x 3 players = 144 minutes

I was thinking (that is scary):

    Yao at 5 = 35 minutes

    Cato at 5 = 13 minutes

    then:

    Cato at 4 = 15 minutes

    MoT at 4 = 25 minutes

    Braggs at 4 = 8 minutes

Cato, Yao with JJ, Cat, and SF for about 15 minutes

MoT, Yao with JJ, Cat, and SF for about 20 minutes

Cato, MoT with second string for about 13 minutes - but fit Braggs in here as needed to replace either one.

I know it can't be etched but it still looks like a great rotation. Hopefully, with Pike and AG we',, have great 2-3 options too.

the guard play is worse than terrible it's outrageously pointless, these guys don't have a clue. we are thin at the 4-5 positions but they are holding their own. steve and mobley overlap one another and don't complment yao. WHAT IS THE POINT?

Actually, JJ as a point forward isn't so far fetched...

Interesting that Padgett got zero minutes in MoT's first game back. Looks like Braggs is firmly ahead of Padgett in JVG's rotation for the time being. Wonder if Padgett gets back in the mix before it's time to pare the roster down when Pike and A. Griffin are both back.

You've got to wonder, too, if Rudy T would have Padgett ahead of Braggs in the rotation simply because of his shooting.

The real question should be: How can we best limit Moochie Norris' minutes?

padgett's skill set is more duplicative of taylor than braggs.

ricerocket: your math is screwy. There are only 96 total minutes available between the 4 and 5 (48 minutes per position).

If Yao were to play 30, Cato 30, and Mo 25, that would leave 11 minutes to split between Braggs and Padgett.

Wait it out until Pike & AGriff come back. You can do a 3 guard type rotation with SF, Cat & JJ (though it gets tricky, 'cause all 3 start, but it's definitely possible).

Actually, I think it's more that they both lack the same skill set -- they're both finesse players and Braggs is a banger. I'm guessing JVG likes bringing a banger in off the bench and so Braggs gets the nod.

I'm just really curious to see how the rotation shapes up once every single player on the roster is healthy.

Braggs does the dirty work. He hustles on defense, scraps for rebounds. Coaches love those guys.
