    Honestly,

I see treeman's commentary as what many Americans do feel about the Arab/Muslim world. Whether it goes back to age-old predjudices based on the Crusades, Ottoman empires or other historical bias's of the sort. But then when you see movies made in the 30's and 40's, it glorifies Arab Culture and history. Movies like the Thief of Baghdad and others showed the beauty of this advanced age of Muslim culture.

The whole Israel situation has changed this dramatically and its ironic to see how impossible it is to many to think that the media here might be biased. Its easy to condemn and negate media groups around the world that aren't "CNN, Fox, NBC or any of the other big ones" but everyone has a perspective and a goal. As we can see from individuals like Treeman's comments that it was an Israeli/Palestinian conflict that became an Jewish/Muslim conflict that is now becoming a US/Muslim conflict.

The alienation of over a billion people around the world for a small minority seems to create ripples that continue to spread.

I honestly feel that US foreign policy is at times not as efficient as it should be. I felt Saddamm Hussien should have been taken out, but nulear war with this country?? That is severe.

Imagine how the rest of the world see's the US. They see us as a bully. We are the only ones to use Nuclear Bombs and Substantial Chemical Agents (Vietnam) yet are constantly pushing disarmnement treaties.

I feel its our duty as Americans to understand flaws in our foriegn policy and correct our governement by speaking out about them. We are the country, we as individuals are what makes this nation so beautiful. If we could spread democracy than we would have flourishing economies in which the seeds of hatred could die.

Instead we have a history of interuppting elections because we don't like what the people chose. Maybe good decisions in the short-run, but I don't feel history will look upon them favorably.

I can't believe there are people that think the U.S. is going after Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden because of deep rooted hatred for Muslims, or Arabs, or whatever. By the way, Iraq also used chemical warfare 10 years ago. Just because one poster wants to use nuclear devices doesn't mean the U.S. wants to use it. I could talk about firing a missile at navel base, doesn't mean the U.S. will do that. And what is up with people and their conspiracy of turning this into Israel vs whatever.

Do you ACTUALLY think that our media is actively trying to cause American to side with Israel in some war that is going on overseas!? This has nothing to do with U.S. vs Muslims, or whatever. This has to do with getting rid of a mass murderer, and a psycho that is helping a mass murderer. Plain and simple.

This has NOTHING to do with foreign policies. Do you think that Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda and terrorist CARE about foreign policy?

Um, Agent Orange was a defoliant, not a chemical weapon used to kill Vietnamese. It's really funny for you to bring up all of these historical aspects of US policy which large parts of the Muslim world, because of lack of education, has no knowledge of. You assert that Muslims think A because they know B, but in fact they in large part don't know B and are acting out of their own militancy, poverty, and thirst for blood.

While we're talking about policy, why don't we talk about the policies in the Muslim world. It's funny for you to talk about democracy in any kind of context with Muslims because the Muslim world is known for dictators, religious fanaticism, atrocities, civil rights violations, harboring terrorists, horrible treatment of women, and funding religious extremism. Maybe the Muslim world should take a look at their own house before they come the US about our policies. It's so much easier for Muslim fundamentalists to blame everything on the US when it's their own backyard that is a minefield of horrors.
