Looking at the last 10 games and how the starters have compared to the opposition: Center Rockets 16.2pts / 9.0 reb / 4.9 ast / 54% shooting Opponent 12.1pts / 7.6 reb / 1.9 ast / 57% shooting Power Forward Rockets 11.6pts / 6.8reb / 1.6ast / 44% shooting Opponent 16.6pts / 6.0reb / 2.5ast / 45% shooting Small Forward Rockets 13.7pts / 8.1reb / 2.2ast / 61% shooting Opponent 7.8pts / 3.1reb / 2.2ast / 33% shooting Shooting Guard Rockets 23.4pts / 3.3reb / 3.8ast / 46% shooting Opponent 22.0pts / 4.0reb / 4.0ast / 50% shooting Point Guard Rockets 10.9pts / 3.5rebs / 3.1ast / 38% shooting Opponent 23.9pts / 4.1reb / 6.1ast / 46% shooting No surprise the PG position hasn’t done well. Despite the things said about KPJ he is missed here and would improve these numbers. I am surprised how well the SF position has been with the play of KMJ. He is outplaying his opponent each game and putting up very good numbers. As we all know Sengun has improved tremendously this year and it shows. Smith has a way to go and the 3pt shooting has gotten worst as of late but the drives have been an unexpected surprise. Overall what stood out for me is how well opposing guards are able to shoot close to 50% most nights, the most critical adjustment should be to look at improving defense there.
I am wanting to keep KMJ more and more. Of those in the rotation, Alpi and KMJ lead the team in FG% at 57% and 56.5% and the same two lead in scoring and shooting efficiency. https://www.espn.com/nba/team/stats/_/name/hou/table/game/sort/avgTurnovers/dir/desc
KPJ's return would increase the offensive numbers at PG, but you would also see declines in the other positions. There is a big disparity in the PG position, to be sure, but KPJ doesn't close that gap without affecting the rest of the roster.
Love the provocativeness even though it's really stupid. Good engagement material. You are almost ready to be a YouTube grifter
