    of Winston Churchill.

Here's Huckabee talking about how being raised in Kenya changed Obama.

Then he claims he mis-spoke and meant to say Indonesia. Indonesia is of course, where he witnessed the Mau Mau revolution, British occupation and the persecution of his grantfather at the hand of the Brits.

Anybody think Huckabee isn't running? He's already playing up to the birther crowd which is what, more than half of Republicans now? Huckabee knew what he was saying when he said it and he knew that he'd give a BS apology later that birthers wouldn't pay attention to.

It's sad seeing Huckabee pander to the base. He was likable (for a Republican) before, I always liked him when he came on the Daily Show and he seemed thoughtful and reasonable. But he's going to go the route of McCain in his second go round in an effort to secure the nomination and he's going to alienate the liberals and moderates who did like him in the process.

    He didn't claim it, a spokes-man did.

Thing is that I don't think any GOP candidate really stands much of a chance in 2012. I agree that Huckabee is probably the best of the bunch, but if he wants to be president, he'd be better off trying to be the nominee in 2016.

In the last election, Huckabee was first and most frequent out of the gate dropping sleazy Mormon innuendo to discredit Romney. (If memory serves, he off-handedly inquired about Mormon undergarments to a reporter writing a profile, knowing full well it'd get picked up and linked back to Romney.) All the sudden he developed a powerful curiosity about Mormon practices/teachings, and would bring them up on the stump. He's always been this good, and this subtle at it, but he's always been this sleazy.

Also, last I saw of him he'd gained a ton of the weight back. Might not be that serious about a run after all. (America, a nation of the obese, does not elect fatties as its leaders.)

Michelle Obama? I didn't think she had that much of one, to be honest.

I don't know, times may be changing. The Republicans love Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey and he's a really big guy.

On a related note, Huckabee and Christie are two notable Republicans who've actually come out in support of Michelle Obama's anti-obesity campaign.

Well all that **** is from D'Souza's last book. Huckabee, Gingrich and all those GOP guys jockeying for 2012 love talking about the Churchill bust and Obama's Kenyan anticolonialism.

Not sure why Huckabee would say this, for a fact he knows Obama did not grow up in Kenya based on past comments he's made.

Returning the bust to England is a dick move by Obama but Huckabee obviously is wrong about it being a "great insult the British" if he'd visited the UK anytime in the past decade he'd realize there are plenty of carherreras over there (arab not latin flavor) who have a huge problem with Churchill starting all the way to his commission to India.

Obama is probably anticolonialist, and there's no question that he has sympathies with his father and grandfather's issues (which he openly has discussed and written about) but the idea of Obama as a fringe "last anticolonialist" which Huckabee's rhetoric is about is wrong. There are 400 million anticolonialists in South America right now (including Chavez, Kirchner and that bunch), a billion in Africa and 1.4 billion in China. Our politicians are BARELY smarter than the American public, you wonder if they have any concept of what's going on in the world outside of the beltway.
