I've heard this from many lady friends: "Oh, you're like a brother to me!" I know it sounds nice but really is a kiss of death if trying to get in one's pants. My question is what not to say or act to get that impression? I mean, you want to be nice to these chicks but not to the point where they are thinking that. Maybe they already have a stereotype of that type of person and you're doomed from the start. I'm just throwing this out there in case anyone has ideas, be they silly on not.
yo man that happend to me once with this one chick. she said "he's like a brother to me" with one of her girlfriends....so i moved on and started hangin with another girl. all of sudden i wasnt a brother anymore. she got mad me for talkin to this other girl....and im like what are you mad about....its crazy...girls are stupid...
It really depends on the context I guess. You being like "a brother" simply means that she trusts you and views as a very good friend that she knows she can talk to. I suppose the best thing to do to avoid this is to simply make your intentions known as soon as possible. Oh, and of course If she's from Oklahoma she's giving you the green light.
You're coming off too much like a friend. That's your main problem. You have to be nice to them, but be sure to let them know that you are interested in them sexually. You take yourself out of the game, you start talking about puppy dogs and ice cream and of course it's going to end up on the friendship tip. - Trent from Swingers Rent Swingers if you have not seen it yet.
The sad thing is that I am! Now I'm thinking of ways like Costanza wanting to date Elaine's employees: "Isn't that illegal?" "Yeah baby, I could go to jail for this!"
Um no. Moes is correct. Let them know your intentions. Also, when you're around them, flirt like crazy from the start. Don't ACT like their brother would.
Test her boundaries and get your point across. It doesn't mean you have to act like a dick but it's more obvious.
What kind of girls are going to like dicks, btw? If you're overtly nice to her, do things that just "friends" don't do, then she will get the picture. My god, who is going to want a guy who acts like a b*stard besides hoes.
DUDE. I totally feel you. One of my lady friends said that to me a few months ago. I smiled, cause it was a nice gesture. Then a second later, my heart sank. It seems like all my female friends say that or seem to think that. What pisses me off the most is that these girls seem to like these assholes. Now that pisses me off the most.
Dr. Reed: What, you don't like Cox? Jordan: Actually, i love Cox? The Todd: Greatest. Conversation. Ever.
What if it isn't your nature to, 'flirt like crazy'? And since when do brothers act complimentary, friendly and affectionately(yes, you can be affectionate without sexual implications) to their sisters, outwardly and around others? Even in privacy it's a rarity..
What would you say to a girl you would never hook up with, but was really cool as a friend who you suspected of liking you? I don't know if there is a surefire way out of it.
