One word can only describe this season miracle of a season we've had. Adversity. After starting off 6-1 the Rockets plummeted to as far as the 10th seed with a 15-17 record I believe it was. We went through injuries with T-Mac, Yao, and Rafer. Somehow we still managed. We weren't supposed to, but we did. We won 12 straight with a full healthy squad. We weren't supposed to, but we did. Yao goes down for the season. The season is over, NOT. We win 10 straight and ultimately hold the second longest winning streak in NBA history. We weren't supposed to, but we did. We were in a tough battle for the division title and western conference title after everyone wrote us off months before. We clinched the 5th seed with home court advantage. We weren't supposed to, but we did. I mean honestly did anyone really expect us to be up 2-0 in a series with the Jazz while all still being shorthanded? I surely didn't. In a sense, being down 0-2 pretty much sums up our season. Throughout the year we had to go through adversity to overcome things we weren't supposed to. This of course is our latest obstacle. Houston Rockets beat the Utah Jazz in a 7 game series 4-3. We aren't supposed to, but we will. Keep faith and believe.
When the Rockets do come back to win this series most people that put them down will act as if they are not surprised and did not doubt them. Book it!
your pretty much right in every way. if the rockets were to come back and win this series peleincubus would explode and implode at the same time and would pretty much vanish.
Uh....if we come back to win this series, you can bet that I will not act as if I am not surprised... The j*zz have won 6 of the last 7 playoff games against us. I will watch tonight and hope for a win, like I always do, but so far I have no reason to expect us to pull this one out. Overcoming adversity is overrated. I'd rather be up 2-0.
Yea just like we were the last couple of times in the playoffs, and we know how well being up 2-0 worked out for us. Maybe being down 0-2 this time will do something for us. But probably not.
You forgot to add that the offseason trades haven't played any role in this season. Francis hurt, Mike James gone along with Bonzi. Landry playing with an injury. I'm sure there is more to add to the incredible story that has been this season. It would be the ultimate of all rocket stories if they can make something more of this post season...we can only hope.
I can't wait till this series is over so we can go ahead and play the Lakers.I think we can beat the Lakers in 7.
in my opinion, if the rockets win this series it would be more miraculous than the GSW upset over Dallas last year. given the personnel and injuries we have right now, it would be more incredible than the streak. karma says the rockets deserve it after all they've done. i just don't think karma cares about basketball
There is like .000001% chance of them pulling the series out. They may win a game, but the series is over.
The Rockets probably stand a better chance on the road....that way they don't have to feel like the odd team out at home.
