I read somewhere just recently that the average person drinks somewhere in the neighborhood of 565 cans of soda annually. I'll admit that I am one of those people. Most days...I will drink zero water and drink all soft drinks, instead. That carb/sugar/caffeine rush kept me coming back for more. It's actually gross to think about how much sugar is in a can of soda. However, I am changing my ways. I am drinking the **** out of water. Did you know that your supposed to drink 1/2 ounce of water for each pound of weight? That is a lot of water to drink in one day. That is way more than any soft drink I ever drank in a day. I am actually enjoying drinking water...it makes me feel healthier. Did you also know that the more clear your piss is, the more hydrated you are. So, all you yellow pissers out there, you should drink more water. So, how much water do you drink in a day? I am currently drinking 80-100 ounces a day and not drinking much of anything else. I thought it would be interesting to see the habits of fellow Rocket fans. Surf ------------------
I work a twelve hour day, and my drinking habits are 50/50 in regards to the soda-water issue. I simply cannot start my day without my 44 oz. big gulp in the morning. (Remember, my mornings start at 3:30 am.) This will last me till about 8 or 9 in the morning, then I drink roughly 32 oz. of water the rest of the day. I wish I could eliminate that much coke from my diet, but damn, it is hard to get started without it!! ------------------ Save our children from the TAAS test: TAAS test report card TAAS test fact sheet
You should drink a minimum of 8-8oz glasses of water a day. If you work out you should drink 8oz of water for every 15 minutes you work out. That all equals out to lots of bathroom breaks, but a much healthier body and lifestyle. ------------------ Don't you have anything better to do?
Damn, Kim. My brother just went out to the Marines on Sunday for boot camp. Damn, maybe they should call it pee-camp? I drink probably half a gallon a day. I don't drink soda unless its the weekend. My frige is full of water, milk and Tropicana. I have to admit, I do feel alot better since I went to this lifestyle 2 years ago. But, I am a slurpee addict. I have to take the long way home sometimes because if I go through the shortcut, there are like 4 7-Elevens on the way and I eventually have to stop and get one. Large of course. With mixed flavoring. ------------------ I Want To Thank God For Making Me A Rocketfan
I drink maybe like 1 Coke in 4-5 days. I used to drink like two Cokes a day though. Now I drink atleast 10 glassses of water in a day. Another reason to stop drinking so much caffenie is because it does not exactly help u sexually ------------------ Fun Police Says: 1. Posting in stupid threads is not FUN! 2. I used to be the worse kind of soft drink addict, especially Dr. Pepper (10-12 cans a day). Since then I've switched to Sprite and water, and I feel a lot better. Brown sodas are worse for you than others, it has something to do with the coloring. I don't drink enough water, though. It's hard as hell to drink that much water. Have you tried? I have to pee every five minutes if I try to drink that much water. It doesn't help that I have a bladder the size of a walnut.....but it's not good when you're on stage and you realize you've got to piss in the middle of a scene. I use to be a major pop-aholic at least a case a week at home which didn't count pop at work or at lunch). I totally gave it up at the 1st of the year (I actually stuck with a resolution - woo hoo!) and now I don't miss it at all. Now I drink alot of water and a little juice every once in a while, but now I figured out I don't need the caffeine boost, and as a matter of fact I'm not as groggy as I use to be in the afternoons when i was drinking pop. But I am still very tempted to have a root beer float ------------------
Hi, my name is Azim, and I'm a Coka-holic. Well, its really not that bad, but its rare for me to go through two days without a glass of that real thing. But I know I can live without it, as I went at least 2 weeks without a drop as recently as last month and I seldom drink more than a can in one day. I do drink a crapload of milk, and use juice as a refreshner after working out or playing ball. But I have to admitt, I'm a little slow in the water department. I did hear that you needed at least 6 glasses of water each day, but up until this summer, I would often go 4-5 days without a single drop - horrible. Now I've gotten a little better by having about 2 glasses a day, but I still have a long way to go. I almost forgot to add, I am slurpee obsessed too. And just like Almu, I always mix the flavours, I think I'm the only guy in Canada who craves slurpee's in the dead of winter. Just to add a useless/interesting fact to the fire. If your crap floats to the top of the water, thats a sign of high protein intake. I'm a bit worried, cause mine almost always sinks. I drink about a gallon of water per day. I have this giant Astros cup and I go through about three or four of those every day. It helps to have a reverse osmosis system (I rent from Ozarka). The water is so much better than tap water. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
Hey, Coke drinkers don't worry... there's WATER in every one of those sodas you drink. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem. DREAMer's Rocket Page
About a year ago, I started drinking only water. The only exceptions are when going out to eat, and treating myself to an occassional slurpee( ). A few weeks ago some city lady came out to our house and did something to our water meter(?). Our tap water has sucked ever since. ------------------ WE WILL WATCH THEM FALL... Next year
I do not drink soda. I drink a lot of water. It is mostly what i have at work (every now and then I have tea). I probably drink about 5 7 oz cups at work (in 6 hours). Then I have maybe another 10 - 20 oz at home. I generally drink water, tea, and juice the most. Every now and then I have a ginger ale. It seems to be the best of the sodas. ------------------ "Feminism is a Socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy cpitalism, and become lesbians" -Rev Pat Robertson
In the Marines, they make you drink water more than you breathe air...literally. Really, literally. Then you run, and drink more water, and run more, and drink, and run, and drink. You end up drinking your food too. Then you pour water over your own head cause you didn't drink enough, cause drill sergeant said so. Then you have to drink a gallon, but can't pee cause you have to run first holding a gallon of water for 5 miles or til you die, which ever comes first. My point: the only reason any Marine is alive today is because of water. There is no other scientific explanation to how any Marine could survive bootcamp. So a gallon a day keeps the grim reaper away.
I like tap water much better than Ozarka. Some of the chemicals they put in all these bottled water make it taste sort of weird. ------------------ Fun Police Says: 1. I cannot drink tap water straight from the tap without using one of those Puhr faucet-attached water filters. Those things rule and make the water taste much better... especially in the summer time. I highly recommend trying one...they only cost around $30 and have a replaceable filter. Also, slurpees do rule! I haven't had one of those in ages. Don't tempt me! AHHH! Surf ------------------
I am not drinking Ozarka water. I am drinking water that has been run through a reverse osmosis system and purified. By the way, I worked for Ozarka for a while and they do not add any chemicals. Ozarka spring water is simply water from a spring that is filtered to remove the mineral deposits, dirt, etc. Their drinking water is regular tap water run through a very long and complex filtering process to remove all chemicals and contaminants. The spring water does taste a little odd but that is just the way the spring water tastes. It isn't chemicals. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
