OH yeah. Our last bill charge was a major spike from the last time, and the highest even since we lived in our house. Of course, my parents handle all of the fiscal stuff but still-the electric bill has been going up lately, even though we are sure that we are not using more out of the ordinary.
My last bill was $100 more than it's ever been. At least two other families in our neighborhood had a similar experience.
$55.53, up from $44.71 last month. Before that, it was in the low $30's. I have a 620 sq. foot apartment that I only air condition when I'm home, and often cut the air when I go to sleep. I also have everything hooked up to power strips and cut them off when I'm not using them. I don't even keep my microwave plugged in.
895 sq ft = $79.85 and that's wind power through amigo energy. deregulation at its finest..... yeah, right.
The highest it has ever been I switched to AMBIT in April I was paying .105 per KW Then last month is was .155 per KW This moth it is .185 per KW In two months I have almost doubled my Cost per KW????? That is unacceptable. I am currently looking to replace them cause This major a fluctuation is unacceptable Rocket River
Sometimes I feel I must be doing something wrong cause my electric bill in the hot months is so damn high... but I think we're saving as much energy as we can. I've heard cutting your ac off then turning it back on (when you get home from work) isn't good cause it causes your ac to work extra hard to get the place cool again. Is there any truth to that? Or is it better to leave it off when you're gone? I'm really scared about what our bill's gonna be this next cycle...we're on a monthly plan while we transition to Direct... about .26kwh and that'll be up from .135
I win... $415.38 for a 2-story 2800 sq ft house. Normally its in its mid-$200's. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the bill. This is with a bunch of fellow dumb college kids who don't know the meaning of conserving energy. Now we make sure the AC is off whenever we're not at home and we unplugged a buncha stuff, especially some mini-fridges.
I don't know. Why do you ask that? The guy asked for an electic bill. TWICE. Then he said "electricity". I guess he knows how to spell that one. ~ $180.
Two months ago it about $200. Last month it went up to $300. I just got this months and it is $411!!! **** ME. And this is in a relatively small 1290 sq. ft. house. Something doesn't seem right.
Same here, and I was planning to complain today. The highest my electric bill has ever been was $161 which was last month, this month it came out to $297! That almost doubles my highest. That can't be true and I only live in a 1000 sq foot condo as well.
