    Should Hakeem Olajuwon contribute by:
-being a dominate force in the paint
-being an unstoppable player in the post
    -draw double teams
-being the number 2 option on offense
-do lots of dream shakes a game
    -average 30+ minutes
    -score 25 points a night
    OR
    -score on putbacks
-block shots which will start fast breaks
-just rely on him on the defensive end and not on offense
    -being a good rebounder
    -average 5.5 blocks
Positives about the first way in which Olajuwon can contribute:
-we will have lots of open three pointers
-Olajuwon can go out on top
-will draw lots of fouls on the opposing big men such as Shaq and Mourning
-will get other teams in serious foul trouble with his unstoppable offense.
Positives for the second way in which Olajuwon can contribute to this team:
-Mobley, Anderson and Francis can still do a run and gun offense
    -can help us on defense
-can be key for us on defense when we play against teams with dominating PF's or C
-can team up with Cato to become one of the most intimidating C and PF

Scenario #1, with Hakeem's age and condition, is practically impossible. Scenario 2 would be nice, but 5.5 blocks a game??? That's never been done in NBA history and I'm pretty sure it never will be.

Hakeem wont do anything big, the guy is not healthy. Let him do what he thinks is right, I see him avg 6 points.

I don't think its possible for Hakeem, at this stage in his career, to do either one of the two options that you put forth. I see him hitting a few open jumpers, maybe blocking one or two shots a game, getting a few rebounds, nothing outstanding, but making his present felt.

I think Hakeem should be allowed to play what he thinks[along with Rudy] will be effective for the team.

Remember we are going to see the coming out of the next top defense center in the NBA. He can play the minutes that Hakeem doesn't think he is up to playing.

I wish Hakeem the best in this last season of his. But there is no way Hakeem can live up to what DJ has proffered. Hakeem should play 20 minutes a night. Every once in a while I see us going to an inside-out offense which will allow Hakeem to contribute. But with an uptempo offense, Hakeem's demise will be all too apparent.

If Hakeem can alter shots, block a couple of shots a game, and get some rebounds (about 8 would be nice, then I'm happy. As far as the scoring goes, I see him dropping in as much as 12 if we use his minutes wisely, and as little as 8 if he starts and tries to run with Francis, Anderson, Mobley, Walt (Walt can run), Taylor and Cato.

But I want his last game to be more memorable than Clyde's. I think Clyde went like 2-11 or 3-11 in his last game. So what if Hakeem doesn't kill the opposition nightly, but it would be nice to have that last game to "dream" about.

But we still should have traded him [IMG].

Don't anybody ever suggest again that we sign Tracy Murray to a deal.
