So I'm driving back from Baylor and I'm coasting through the roads. I wasn't really paying attention and the EZ tag lanes start to come up but of course I don't have time to move over. I was wondering if anyone knew how much am I expected to pay for this atrocious crime?
I think it's like a SOUL and a HALF. I could be wrong. Hey, isn't that the Sheriff knocking at your door? [ding!]
If it is your first time, then wait until you get a letter in the mail, if they ever send one. You then have the option of getting an EZ Tag by putting the deposit for one down and adding like 30 bucks to your account. They waive the fine then, which I think is 50 or so. I ran it three times over the course of a year and a half before I ever got a letter in the mail. Then, I got an EZ Tag and all the fines were waived.
You only get a ticket in the mail if you have run it 3 times. I did it once, when I changed plates on my car, and forgot to tell EZ Tag. But I called them and showed them who was boss.
my friend would run it 1-2 times per month for 2 years and never got a single ticket. Unless they've updated their system in the past 4 years, I wouldn't be worried..

$17.50. If you don't pay it on a timely basis it increases to $67.50. When you get the bill in the mail just pay it and move on.
I worked for a leasing company, and since the company owned the cars we got the tickets. I believe this is right but I thought it was $15.
