In the League only Boston and Milwaukee have played more games through last night with 40. The Rockets have 39 as do GS, Tor, and OKC. The standings in our Division as of last night are: 1. San Antonio 36 games total 15 on the road 2. New Orleans 34 17 3. Houston 39 23 4. Dallas 37 19 5. Memphis who cares Without looking at RPI or SOS or anything I just feel like considering our schedule our record really isn't all that bad. Am I disappointed, sure, but we did get a rather unhelpful schedule. For the record Boston currently has 19 road games and Milwaukee has 23. LA also has 36 total and 14 on the road... and the only team with more road games than us is GS with 24.
it would also be interesting to look at our number of back to backs compared to everyone else but I haven't the time for that.
yeah and one of the "road" games for the lakers was against the clippers. I always feel its an unfair advantage that the lakers essentially have two less road games and two more home games every year but there is nothing that can be done about that. the schedule sucks but it will balance out come end of the year
The only way to come out of this unfair advantage is to tough it out.Man,we should man up!From the record we have right now,I don't see any disappointment in myself 'cause 23 road games and we're 24-15 right now.Just imagine how tough it was,the schedule makers suck and they MUST be ROX Haters and wanna test our will on the road the first 2 or 3 month of the season. Just tough it out.I'm glad we played 23 road games already 'cause we gonna have more home stands come the end of the season right?
Hollinger also has Denver, Pheonix, Portland and Utah ahead of us in his power rankings (among other obviously)... I dont put a whole lot of stock in hollinger and his magic equations.
