I say no more than 2.5 mill or so per year...

While he is a good ballhandler and distributor, his defense is a liability as well as his jump shot...

What other backup PG options are there?

Umm, Moochie is a better defender than any of our guards, and a good shooter. There's no way in hell the Rockets will pass him up for another backup PG. Imho, he contends for 6th man of the year next year.

Hakeem's worth over 6 million, but Moochie is worth 1.5? What team did you watch? I want Hakeem back too, but you are really letting him cloud your objectivity...

By the way, he's worth about 4.5 million, but I'm sure he'll resign with the Rockets for between 2.5 and 3.

Moochie is a leader. Period. The guys love him because he is confident and knows how to run the show. He never tries to do more than he can and can almost always change the tempo of the game when he comes in. I'd expect him to get $3 to $4 million per season.

people put too much stock in positions.

Moochie is the best backup PG in the league... except for MAYBE Brevin Knight. He's a part of the team's future. You're nuts :p.

Although I really like Rafer Alston, I stil think Mooch is a perfect backup/3 guard PG for us. His shooting isnt the greatest, but he doesnt shoot THAT much anyway. He takes care of the ball, brings energy, and is good at creating/penetrating. He can change the tempo, and everyone loves his hair too haha. Anyway, Im pretty sure he will resign, as soon as this hakeem mess is over as most will agree. If dallas or someone else steals him (which I doubt, b/c I think he's pretty loyal) we should get RAFER ALSTON, yeah and I know most of you all hate him by the way

He's worth more than Shandon Anderson, and at least 3.5-4 million a year.

Could someone critique him with Colson who from reports have been doing a good job leading and scoring from the point. Does he make us less hungry for Moochie or less willing to pay inflated terms. I would say Colson shoots from 3pt as good and anyone on the team.
