Disgusting. I'm waiting for the apologists to come in and say Israel deserves the bleeding-edge military toys for its commendable recent performance in the peace process.

Not to mention, legislators in this country are trimming so many programs worth a couple million to reduce the deficit and we give a 'disadvantaged' ally 3,000 million dollars..

 

That's r****ded. I would've gotten 30 free F-35's.

I heard about this a couple days ago, its hilarious when you have to bribe someone with tangible things to negotiate for peace (quite obvious where peace ranks in the priority list of Israels leaders).

 

It's hilarious that Israel is being rewarded for "freezing" its continued violations of international law.

 

Why does Israel need F-35s??? There is nothing in the region that has anything come remotely close to what they have in their arsenal now.

 

You can ask a similar question about American military spending.

 

^^ just to clarify, what I meant no other country in the region has anything close to what they have currently (pre F-35).

 

All this does is fuel other countries to start spending more on their own weapons program. Wouldn't surprise me if the Saudis start leveraging oil so they could get their hands on some F35s too...

 

So leftist and islamist posters would prefer for Israel to have no means to defend itself. Nothing new here.
