My aunt is going to help us out with our son. She will be coming twice a week for about 6-7 hours a day. We are paying her in cash. How much do you all pay for a nanny/childcare?
I have a friend who has been a nanny for years.. but she lives in. (gets free room and board) Her pay comes out to about 250 a week. But like I said she doesn't have to pay for living arrangements or food. Plus she is in DC. So that might make a difference too.
Nannies are usually compensated with free room and board + some spending money... They'd average around 5 bucks an hour if you just compared their spending money. Childcare workers make anywhere from 8 bucks an hour and up. I'd say that 10 an hour is fair starting ground. I paid my workers 10 an hour, starting. We charged parents 5.25 an hour per child.
Before we started using the daycare we use now, we took our son to a friend of my wifes for about a year. We paid her in cash $650/month, for about 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. It worked out to around $4/hour, but their was never a real agreement on the hourly wage. We just said $650/month for the schooldays, since my wife teaches at the school down the road from their house. Since her friend went back to work, we use our church daycare and it $4.40/hour for 2-3 year olds. It was $5.40/hour for kids under 2.
Wrong. Spoiler Nordegren and golfer Tiger Woods were married in Barbados on 5 October 2004. Nordegren first became a public figure in 2002 when she began dating Woods, one of the world's most famous sports figures. A blonde, blue-eyed Swede and part-time model, Nordegren was working as a nanny for Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik when she met Woods. Reportedly Parnevik introduced the two at the 2001 British Open. Their romance became more widely known during the Masters golf tournament in April of 2002, and they became engaged in November of 2003.
There is no need for a spoiler my friend...She is way to hot for one... I've been looking for a babysitter for my kids, but I wouldn't consider her a nanny as my kids are older (But I may be wrong)...Childcare in general is expensive...If I could get someone to stay with my kids at my house, I'd be $200/week, maybe a little more for gas...
Childcare expenses are why my wife and I decided that I would be a stay at home dad. Why have both of us work and someone else take care of our child, when I could stay home and do the job. The cost would have eaten up most of my income anyway. My salary for staying home is 6-10 Rockets games a year.
