I never really checked until yesterday. Between my wife and I we are spending $120 a month on tolls, mostly the Westpark toll road.
I spend about $0.00/month on my EZ Tag. But I do spend $120/month taking the Park and Ride to work. It's worth every penny, though.
I carpool also, using the (Austin) CapMetro program. All I pay is $25 a month. CapMetro provides the car (Toyota Prius) and the gas & maintenance. There are four of us, and we all work in the same building. I save over $200 a month in gas!
I spend about the same and have found that it saves me sanity over sitting in traffic and wasting time not being at home with my family. the work around of battling I-45 just isn't worth the time or gas wasted. I'd also wager that with the cost of gas, that the efficiency of toll roads makes up a good portion of the cost.
About less $40 per month I could take the feeder roads but I encounter traffic on the freeways so no thanks.
Less than 10. I live right by the Dallas Toll Way. But I try to use local road as much as I can, and only take the toll if I'm in a hurry. Wake up 20 minutes early everyday is worth the 80 bucks I save each month.
Dude. What the heck are you doing, going HOME during lunch and back?!?!? I don't get it... I don't...
If I take it to and from work each day I hit every toll there is to hit on it. Also my wife is a realtor and depending on where she is working she sometimes uses it too. I work 7 to 4 so if I take it the drive is 25 minutes if I don't it is 45+.
$0. I don't believe in paying to drive on a road with major highways surrounding me. What a waste of hard earned $.
