imo he clearly out coached phil jackson...

though i did question his substitution and late game play calling at times during the regular season, he clearly was the best coach in the playoffs

    Probably 20 credits..maybe 25.

In seriousness, he did one hell of a job with this roster. I'd like to see Mike Brown coach this Yao-less Rockets team and put them in a Game 7.

Ron Artest is so overrated this guy has been absolute trash pretty much every game this series. Not only that, but could you AT LEAST try to play within the offense without dribbling for half the shot clock?!?! fcuuukkkk!

His defense has been suspect as of lately too, not giving the whole effort it seems.

If I were to rate him regular season, 9.5/10...playoffs, 9.85/10.

I think you gave the correct answer. He maximized what we could do this season given our obvious deficiencies.

I am a big fan of JVG but if he was still here, I think Scola would be a backup and Landry may not even be getting playing time. Wafer, who was a huge scoring spark for us throughout most of this season, likely wouldn't even be on the team while Luther Head would be - and Luther would probably be starting. That, or Barry would be staring with Luther backing him up.

Lowry probably wouldn't have been here either since JVG would have argued to his grave that giving up Alston, even sans McGrady, would be a step backward and that it wasn't worth the long-term benefits.

And I don't think JVG would have done any better with Yao. He still would have played him big minutes, ultimately leading to another foot injury. He may have featured Yao a bit more in the offense but then none of our other players would have been real factors or gained the confidence they did (Scola, Brooks, Wafer, etc...) and we would have looked like the Rockets of old on offense, minus McGrady.

No kidding... Mike Brown is severely overrated. I call him Assistant Coach Mike Brown because we all know who the real Head Coach of that team is.

RA did a fantastic job with this team going through :
    -injuriessssssssssssssssss
-a trade of the starting pg
    -2pg of 22 and 23 years old
    -Ron artest
    -Tmac

Don't forget that he might be the only coach in the league able to keep Ron Artest (RA2 :d) calm...

He isn't the best X and O's guy, but I admit I've been wrong about his ability to motivate the team. He needs to stay in Houston.

Why cant Rocket fans just admit, that Ron is the key reason we made it to the second round??? Didn't have Ron for the last 12 seasons, and the season we get him, we go to round 2 and 7 games deep in it....

    THINK. dont hate.
