I'm 27 now and have been driving since I was 17, since than I've only gotten 3 speeding tickets all in the last two yrs. I had a perfect record for the first 4 yrs of driving and was awarded with a certificate from the Gov of IL.

When it comes to parking ticket, its a diffrent story. I get like 2 or 3 a year. Its not that bad since most of them are school zone parking tickets and are cheap.

I've only gotten one speeding ticket in the last six years.

Before that, I probably had twelve to fifteen speeding tickets since I turned 16 in 1987.

I've only had one city parking ticket, but when I went to pay it, they said it wasn't in the system, so I never paid it.

I got a few parking tickets at Texas Tech, though, and one or two at West Texas A&M.

In the last 6 years I've gotten 0 speeding tickets & 1 parking ticket ('cause my roommate moved my car and parked facing the wrong side of the road).

In that time I've also managed to get a ticket for having a headlight out. And at the time I couldn't find my insurance card so he ticketed me for that too. I don't like to talk about it.

I had 37 tickets by the time I was 18. I received 19 warnings before my first speeding ticket, and was, ahem, "well known" by the Bellaire P.D. when I was a teen. (All juvi stupid stuff) I have no idea how many I have now. Probably 50 lifetime. I slowed down after a while.

No idea how many parking tickets, but I have been booted twice, and towed several times. Probably $2,000 so far in fines I've paid.

Three. I've been driving since I was 15, which makes it... 38 years.
And I've never had a radar detector. I think I've been lucky.

Parking tickets? Who knows. And I didn't deserve one of them!!! ;)

I'm not sure if its the same where you guys live, but here in IL I would see like 8 out of 10 people speed everytime. I would drive like 5 over the speed limit and I would see the majority of the people pass me up all the time. I would end up seeing someone get pulled 2 or 3 times a day. I just don't see why we're always in a hurry and not save
ourselves the $75.00. For instance one of my frend gets speeding tickets all the time and he just acted like its no big deal. He could've save himself $800 a year on tickets and spend them on his kids which he rarely does.

    Been driving since 1977.

8 speeding/moving violation tickets. First 3 happened within the first 3 months of me receiving my license at age 16. My Dad and I had to go to court to argue why they shouldn't take my license away from me.

    12 parking tickets.

    Towed once.

I haven't had one in a long time. I have a clean record. But I had to go to level 2 defensive driving when I was 18 just to keep my license. I got two tickets in a month then got a ticket for exhibition of acceleration. It was mostly bad luck.

    Driving since 85.

1 speeding ticket - defensive driving
    0 parking tickets
    0 accidents - /knocks on wood

I do drive aggressive in the city and fast on the highway but I'm always alert and never without my radar. last time I got pulled over it was at 3am taking my wife to the hospital to deliver our son. the cop let us go. :D

If you're driving only five miles over the speed limit on most Dallas-area highways, you're usually being a danger to yourself and other people on the road for going too slow.

I think a lot of people speed because, most of the time, they can without penalty. I get on that Dallas North Tollway sometimes in the mornings going toward downtown, and going 65 is like sitting still compared to most of the other cars on the road. And 65 mph is 10 mph over the posted limit on most of that road.

But it's relatively rare that I see someone pulled over on the Tollway (and I would say the usual flow of traffic, barring traffic back-ups, is at least 75 mph).

1 per year from ages 16 to 21, when I finally broke down and bought a radar detector.

1 from ages 22-26, the only time i had the detector off and sitting on the passenger side floor!

Five before age 30 and zero after.

Where I live, running a stop sign costs over $200.

1 speeding ticket 7 years ago. I bought a radar detector right after that, and have zero since. I need to figure out a way to use it on my motorcycle.

    1 parking ticket.

No speeding tickets in 20+ years of driving.

The advantages of not owning a fast car!

Too many parking tickets to count.
