How many times will Ming foul out this season? i'm guessing probably 4 to 5 times. 2 of them coming from guarding shaq.
15 is too crazy... there are only 82 games for god's sack.. and he probably would just play say... 75.. and he probably won't even go more than 30 min / game
Since he's a rookie, he's not going to get the calls going his away for a couple of years. I'd say 20 times...
Maybe the fact isnt that.I saw some Yao's games, include CBA(China),WBC & the Asian Game,I notice that he averagely fouled under 3 times. But I worry about his turnover!
He only played like 15 minutes a game against inferior talent. These NBA players are going to try to go at him. He'll play probably 30 minutes (at least). I say he'll foul out maybe 6-10 times depending on how much Rudy protects him for end of game situations versus just letting him keep playing. Cato is a good backup if he gets in trouble, and we have planty of other weapons/defenders. He does seem to have a high TO rate. This could be due, in part, to his team mates lack of skills compared to his too (pass the ball and they miss it out of bounds type TO's).
I think he will foul out a lot ... and if he does, that means he's playing on the floor a lot and that's good, cause he will get banged and beat up his first year, but with Rockets bulking him up, he's gonna be a force next year!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, these are great days for Houston Sports!!!
as long as his teammates pass the ball high and not any dinky low bounce passes... he should do fine.
I worry that he's going to commit a lot of turnovers when players slap the ball out of his hands. He'll also pick up quite a few fouls early on as he adjusts to the faster pace of the game and as he learns the tendencies of the NBA centers he'll be seeing night in and night out. Look at Shaq in his rookie year, it seemed like he spent a good chunk of every game on the bench with foul trouble. He, like all rookies, needs time to adjust.
I will guess more....There will be a long, long line of NBA folks who will want to take it to the big guy!!!!!!
