I think Francis is the only one..

but he and Kobe are both BIG ball hogs..
they'll probably start fighting off the court...:D

Three. The Lakers are putrid, barring their two superstars.

Francis starts, without a doubt. Cat might start, with Bryant at the 3... or he might be a super sub. Either way, he'd benefit them enormously, especially when Shaq's out, since Bryant really, really needs someone to relieve the pressure on him. Then, I'd guess that KT or Mo T would start over Samaki Walker.

    All five.

Edit: Four could start, I forgot about our legend Robert Horry.

Cat would start next to Kobe. Rick fox would sit down. Griffin would start to save Horry for the playoffs too.

Damn, somehow I thought this was a real thread and not an excuse to bash Cat, the root of all evils.:(

Another fun night in the Rockets forum.

Fox is a very good one on one defender, a bit dirty, and he's just like Dennis Rodman.. plays good mental games with ya. that's why Phil likes him..
also he has range from outside.

I don't see why Cat can start over Rick..

This thread should have been about the Kings, if you were trying to make the point. Have you actually seen a Lakers game this year? Bryant is fabulous; everyone else is mediocre-to-terrible.

They lack any offense outside of Bryant. Other teams are freakin' triple teaming Bryant - that's how little they fear the rest of that team. Having someone with the ability to actually score... would prevent that from happening.

Hell yeah, Cat could benefit them.

Now, put Cat on sacramento... maybe he would have trouble being influential. Or Dallas. But the Lakers? He'd be a huge addition.

Cat could start for every team in the NBA that doesn't have a top notch SG, and by that I mean a Kobe, Iverson, McGrady, etc. Cat is an incredible 6th man, because he provides such energy and fire power. HOwever, he is too good to be resigned to that role.

Because he is the second best shooting guard in the west and can create his own shot if necessary, something that fox nor anybody not named Kobe on LA can do, but can hit open j's as well as fox. He's alos good on defense. Imagine running the triangle (leaving stevie out for a second) with Mobley, Bryant and Shaq. The Lakers struggle for offense, Cuttino will provide.

We really take him for granted sometimes. He is an allstar caliber player.

Steve, Thomas, and Mo. Cat wouldn't start because of Kobe and Cato obviously wouldn't when Shaq wasn't injured.

actually I don't think anyone from Rox can start for the Kings, they have have 3 all-stars, and a former allstar Divac, throw in defensive 1st team Doug christie. you have perfect 5 with very good chemistry already..

Stevie would definently start, but I think thats it:

    Ultimate Kings-Rockets starting lineup:

    PG-Franchsie
    SG-Christie
    SF-Peja
    PF-Webber
    C-Vlade

    Ultimate Lakers-Rockets starting 5:

    PG-Stevie
    SG-Cat
    SF-Kobe
    PF-Horry
    C-Shaq
