Starting Wednesday, the Rockets have a 12 game stretch in 22 days with 10 on the road. Granted some of the teams aren't very good, but a road swing is a road swing. Sometimes teams fall into ruts away from home and lose games they should win. Other times teams come together on the road and set the tone for long stretches of excellence. IMO, after the Nets game on Dec 27th, we will have a good idea where this team is going. How many of the 12 games do you think the Rockets will win? Try to be realistic (based on the season so far) and not overly optimistic. I think Golden State will give our backcourt fits, i think we'll split our games against the Clips/Lakers and i think the Spurs will beat us again, but for the last time this season. 8 out of 12 for me. PS. I expect Yao to get majorly roughed up against Indy, but we'll still take 'em.
I will have to say around 8 or 9 games. We were generally a better road team the last few seasons, so I see the road not affecting us as it might with other teams. Only a couple of top tier teams, and I think we continue on our terrific pace.
I will be more than happy if we got 7 out of these 12 games. Does GSW run like a PHX B-team? If so, I hope we could play a decent game against them and answer to their fast pace game. Little hope on the Spurs game and we would probably lost 2 games to the LA teams as well.
Negative Nancy! We'll win 14 out of 12 fo sho, b****. Seriously, though, I'd be happy with 8. Also, I think GS is coming in on the backend of a back to back, so hopefully the rested Rockets will have the energy to shut the quick guards down.
Do we assume Tmac will be back next game or not? If we do... A tough schedule only 2 home games. L at Minnesota ? at Charlotte. Yao still to play in a win against Bobcats. W at Washington W Home LA Lakers W at Golden State. I'm not fooled, they're still a garbage team. L at LA Lakers L at LA Clippers W at Portland L at San Antonio W Home LA Clippers W at Indiana W at New Jersey
I'd be happy with 7-5. We'll probably split the 4 games in LA. Lost to Spurs and Warriors, and either Pacers or Nets. But who knows? Go Rockets!
Same here. With losses @ Warriors, Lakers, Spurs, Nets. I don't think we'll lose either home game so I think 6-4 on the road is reasonable.
Don't we also have a game to play on Tuesday, Dec 5? The poll makes it look like the @ Minnesota game is the 1st game after a long rest but in fact it is the 2nd of back-to-back game.
